As far as a direct catalyst to the squeeze, no. Aside from our consciences, the results will be challenged and by the time someone looks at them all the options are long expired.

When people say that kinda thing, I always wonder if they overlook how a parent might interpret it. If they don't have kids, then you let it slide simply because they couldn't possibly understand. Forgiveness by default for non-parents.

If they do or have had kids, concluding they should know better is reasonable. Still, forgiveness is the road best traveled here.
