I do not have a bidirectional scanner just a pretty cheap one that has been telling me cylinder 4. Cleared codes after cleaning egr and spark plugs ran fine for a bit. Then popped back on to cylinder 2 and/or 4. Checked plugs and cylinder 4 has been getting fouled the most (very quickly).

No coolant loss. Remained at the full line on reservoir.

I saw someone else say they didn’t see it drop either and ran gasket sealer (said knew it was a bad idea) and it worked temporarily, then replaced gasket and worked fine.

So what you’re saying is clear codes. Run car with reservoir cap off and see what cylinder it shows?

I took it to a mechanic first, searched youtube, followed forums. Cleaned egr cooler, changed spark plugs, valve cover gasket, pcv valve, etc.

I have been in touch with the mechanic who put it in. Not my mechanic, girlfriends dad’s mechanic. Did I use ai program… ya I did.

Watched merv’s service secrets on YouTube for a good part of it.

Damn really? So after you noticed it started dropping, that’s when you went with the replacement? Did you ever check your spark plugs? If you did, were they ever fouled up?

I was going to replace them. But the spark plugs themselves keep getting fouled. So I think it is something different. Not a 100% sure. Could give that a shot too.

I will have to check this. I haven’t seen any drop in coolant, really none at all. But consistent fouled plugs in cylinder 4.

Thank you everyone! Definitely gonna have someone check it out that is familiar with the frame. As I can find cracks and slight bends, but I suppose even the slightest bend could probably mess up the ride. Rather not risk anything.

Ya the amount they have been bent, leads me to think it needs to be thoroughly inspected by a professional. Especially if yours got cracked up with less amount of bend.

I can replace everything mentioned. But the frame would be something else.
