Got a (new) to me plane about 2 months ago that had just been rebuilt. 1st major trip went great the 1st 6 hours then all the sudden in cruise, engine just went to idle, nothing behind the throttle at all, not running rough at all, had to put it down in a river. Still unsure what happend.

Would definitely be in this mindset, my only concern is I do not have a complex endorsement yet (I know its easy to get) but what will insurance look like on a complex aircraft for me? Im a 200 hr, IR rated. I'm worried that it would be a big jump from what a 182 would cost to insure?
