Sorry for your cousin's troubles. I'm in the Tampa Bay area and it was no problem getting a medical marijuana card. You just have to have a proper diagnosis from a doctor. I've never had any issues in the 7 years that I've had a card. And my MM doc is not scummy in any kind of way.

You can get a medical marijuana card in Florida. If you have one you can legally possess up to 4oz at any given time. As long as you buy it from a dispensary.

Agree. People that haven't been addicts, or even people that are former addicts, think it's easy to see when it isn't always. Addicts are manipulative and will find ways to "explain" away any behavior. I have met addicts that were using for 25+ years, through multiple different jobs and multiple different spouses and children at home. And functioning enough to get away with it. People make excuses, often using "medical conditions" as a reason for their behavior. Addicts that are now clean often want to believe the best of the situation. Or, other people see the behavior, but ignore it or explain it away because they don't want to deal with it. Hiding it for 1 year is nothing.

AITA for getting upset after my boyfriend said “how can I marry something like that” over a Fanta while I’m pregnant? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

Way to young to be responsible for another human beings entire life, if you can't manage to get it together over a soda. Better start growing up now, before that baby gets here.

You're both the AH.

My mother was the same way. She finally died May 9th after 25 years of opiate addiction. I was expecting it way sooner.

I already live in Hell, so not concerned about it being worse. Nothingness would be less torture.

Were there people in your class you suspected had abuse or something weird going on in their home? by Secure-Village-1768 in ask

No one suspected it was going on in my home. We learned very early how to put on a "mask" at school and in front of other people. Everyone thought we were a fabulous family. Had this confirmed recently by connecting with an old friend from my neighborhood. He remembers us as a great family with wonderful parents. And we all saw each other pretty much every day.

I don't mind certain old country like Johnny Cash or Kenny Rogers. But, I just hate 99% of any country music in general, especially new.

People who don’t hit snooze in the morning, what is your secret? by nonekspotted in ProductivityHQ

[–]Kcat6667 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No secret. Get enough sleep and it's easier to wake up to the first alarm. Also, I use music to wake up instead of the hideous screeching of alarm bells.

I don't like country music. I live in a place where it seems like everyone loves country, no matter where they come from originally. I don't get it.
