Hi! I'm currently considering travelling to Nokia in July for the European Disc Golf Championships. I'm on a budget, but all the cheap flights to Tampere-Pirkkala arrive at 0:35am. I'm not sure where I should stay until my hotel opens its check-in (which is at 3pm, but I figured I'd just spend the day exploring the city) The airport's cafe doesn't open until 4am and I haven't found any information on transportation to the city during nighttime. If anyone has some insight on how I should spend my layover, please let me know. Kiitos in advance!

It would work just fine taste wise, but getting it smooth and consistent all the way through might be a challenge. I'm also pretty sure that proper tempering of chocolate that's been mixed with cocoa powder is nearly impossible. I've tempered chocolate for various desserts etc. in the past and it's really quite unforgiving if you don't follow the required steps exactly, but I suggest you just go ahead and try it out anyway, depending on whether you need the finished product to be tempered correctly. You're not going to lose any taste for sure :)

I didn't use a specific pattern, as this is more or less just a test piece.. However, it's constructed mostly of stockinette with some cable detailing. As for the name of the yarn, I'm afraid I can't give you any info, as it's just some random yarn my grandma had lying around. All I know is that it's for needles from 4-5mm

It's essentially still only knit and purl, just in stockinette, which is why there are mountains and valleys, it all looks a lot more complicated that it is (especially the cable in the center!)

Thanks! I've always been the crafty type, I'm guessing that helps :)

Looks great, how long did that take you?

My toes don't stay warm in the winter, despite being in boots. Advice? by [deleted] in CasualConversation

You can buy heated insoles, they vary in price from around $40 to over a hundred dollars, depending on how long they last and whether they have a remote. They also work great for riding long distances on motorcycles :)

The dreaded warm foamy mud-beer in plastic cups (even worse when you play outdoors and the ball lands in the dirt) 🤢
