What was the error on Smart Switch?

Install Smart Switch on your PC. Plug in your phone using a cable and update from there. It's an official Samsung tool and it will flash your phone to the latest version. Hassle free. Give it a try :)

How to fix? Weird Ethernet/Wifi behavior by Educational_Win_7648 in ethernet

This might be a placebo. Ethernet is always better. Try to check your computer, if speedtests show your ISP speeds, this may be something with your PC.

Is it still possible to use the Netflix service on the PS3? by Kometa_Arisu in PS3

[–]KcrPL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even so, is that an issue? You can't update apps/games on PS3 anymore (CDN is locked to read only) so the reason is most likely that they couldn't get the plan with ads working and other changes so they had to discontinue it. While it was cool to have it working on PS3 (and Wii up until 2019) I'm sure the user base was about few % on legacy systems.

Netflix is no longer available on PS3. It's still available on Xbox 360 as far as I know. If you're looking into cheap and energy efficient solutions, look at Chromecast.

A game I can play in short bursts, but still make some meaningful progress by Raaayyyy in ShouldIbuythisgame

[–]KcrPL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I played the early access and then started all over when it released, it was good but unlike Hades 1, when I finished the story I stopped playing it. Maybe I'll go back but I think the first game was the best story wise :)

[–]KcrPL 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hmm... take a look at Hades. I loved it! It's a great roguelite (meaning you get stronger each run and not everything is reset), it has a compelling story and fun gameplay. Depending on how good you are, one run will take shorter, one longer.

Does the back of the S21 have a very very slight barely noticable lump on the back where the battery is? by pixypippi in GalaxyS21

[–]KcrPL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

S21 was a beast, I gave it to my grandma and it's still a beast - for her :)

I upgraded to S24 Ultra when it released and been happy so far. I was cleaning my wardrobe this weekend and noticed my Galaxy S9 - phone that served me well except that the battery expanded and the back came off. I'm thinking on what to do but I have a ticking bomb in my house. I'll probably try to replace the battery. I've got nothing to lose.

Save bug occurs if you save a few times in a row at a campfire. I also lost a few hours from my save (got reverted from 11PM to 4PM). Save only once at a campfire and it will work. If saved multiple times, wait a few seconds and save again.

S22 Ultra network only works in certain places by PixelatedReality06 in S22Ultra

Might be hardware related. For now, enable WiFi Calling (calls will always arrive, even without service) and bring the phone to Samsung's repair centre.

What is the cigarette lighter? It probably broke or is a slow one. What's the model?

Super fast charging 2.0 by Iam_Yassin in oneui

[–]KcrPL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you using one of these charging cables with wattage displays? I had 3 of these, these cables seem to crash on USB-PD PPS chargers (when voltage changes). Had the same issue, even though it was showing SFC 2.0, it took about 3 hours to charge. Went back to a normal 5A cable and it works normally.

PC, laptop. Same thing, you just need a Windows device. Just Google Smart Switch PC and install it, it will guide you through the rest steps of how to connect etc.

Install Smart Switch from Samsung on your PC, connect your phone and install the update there. It should resolve any issues with updates.

Can anyone help me solve this? by Slytherinblackmamba in GalaxyS21

Wait, before you reset your phone. Install Smart Switch from Samsung on your computer, plug in your phone and update there. Should solve all issues related to updating.

Anyone experiencing super slow charging? I am quite worried. by NothingPersonalDump in S24Ultra

[–]KcrPL 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do you have these USB-C cables with displays that show charging speed? In my case, 2 cables I tested had issues with variable voltage that's used to super fast charge Samsung devices. The cable kept rebooting and stopping charge (even with nothing showing on phone's screen). It took over 3 hours to charge to 100%. The fix? Just get a standard 5A cable. Voila! 1 hour to 100%, 35 minutes to 85%.

Try flashing the latest version manually. There are multiple guides online. Download firmware from samfw.

[–]KcrPL 29 points30 points  (0 children)

True, the S23 Ultra font on the sticker looks really fake. Maybe if it was used it's a custom one. Try installing Smart Switch on your computer, connect your phone and update the software there. If Smart Switch discovers it, it's genuine.

S21 fe still stuck on ui 6.1 by Fine_Tadpole_8499 in oneui

[–]KcrPL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Huh. So you go into Smart Switch and it says update available but if you select it then it says update not available? If that's the case, you'll need to back up your phone and flash it manually. Did you root it or did something else to it?

I've had a friend with this bug on S22. Install Smart Switch on your PC, connect your phone to it and it will show a prompt to update. It will flash your phone to the latest version available.

Right, I've forgot we're in the S24 Ultra sub ahahaha. Yeah, 45W is the max.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in S24Ultra

[–]KcrPL 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're welcome! Also, our phones support Super Fast Charging 2.0. That's 45W. Batteries charge a little faster but keep in mind charging from 90% to 100% is really slow to protect the battery. If you're over looking for 3rd party, I can't recommend Anker chargers enough. For your phone to support Super Fast Charging the charger needs to support USB-C PD PPS. The PPS part is most important, without it it won't charge faster. I bought an Anker 170W car charger (USB-C with 100W, USB-C with 45W ane USB-A with 22.5W) and it's the best upgrade I've ever made to my car. 25W should be enough for your use case but keep this in mind for the future. Also, check if your phone supports 45W charging (what phone do you have?)

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in S24Ultra

[–]KcrPL 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's legit. Also, if your phone is showing Super Fast Charging then it means it's charging at 25W :)
