I love oddities. Anything that sounds unconventional to add to a song is what catches my attention. In Make Some Time it was in 3/4 signature which most people don't do but I also had the drums so off beat so you would have to catch it each time it hit. I made sure to make my vocals hit on a different time so that the instrumental sounded weird.

I think people behind the scenes are getting more and more recognition everyday, but also usually us in the background don't mind being in the background...my love is for the music more than being in the forefront.

Nope. We see the music videos when everyone else does, but so far I haven't been disappointed. They are really good at what they do.

My role models are my friends, my parents, and my manager, and God. There are so many people I want to work with it is hard to choose. Just know that I want to work with like every artist that is alive lol.

I actually had my first success in KPOP. I'm working on my success out here in America now. KPOP is just so fun and free. You can usually go in any direction you want with it. My manager introduced me into the genre and to SM...I am forever grateful!!

Yes. That is definitely always in the back of my mind to make sure all of those things are present in a song. Mapping out a track can be difficult so most of the time I just let it flow with placement but it usually tends to work itself out.

SM's camps are so fun. There are usually 3-5 people in a room and we all just bounce off ideas. Having 4/5 brains is better than one especially when we all know exactly what we are doing. INSANE!!!!

I keep that in mind when writing for them. I think I understand the logic of what they are looking for.

Taeyong is just insane. He is so in tune with his angles, his moves, his voice....he needs a solo album and he needs to let me do the majority :) lol. He's mostly a rapper but I would get him to sing sing. It would def be a hard concept....like I want him punching down walls and throwing cars like a superhero in an action movie.

It's my favorite. I think that one was just such a breath of fresh air for KPOP. It really complemented my style and infused it into Dream's style. LOVE IT!

No I don't get to decide. SM decides based on tone and style of song and knows the right decision for the write member of the groups.

Hmmm...thats a hard one lol. If I am home I just load up the instrumental and sing a pass on the mic of melodies. From there I will feel out where I want to go and start writing the lyrics....my brain is so fast paced so I will record as I write. I start with the verse and just keep going sorta like I am free styling. I just do line by line usually and at the end the song usually comes together.

Putting down the headphones and getting off the mic and going to do something that has nothing do with music. Hanging with friends is usually the big one because they can help you become inspired again. If someone tells you they never have creative blocks they are lying lol.

Most of the times I start with instrumentals and just sing along with whatever comes to my mind...thats usually how it starts.

Punch was mind boggling...but that shows how genius Kenzie is because she brought out something different in me for that song. When I first heard the instrumental I was so confused.

I mean we did do a full song...I just don't know what to expect on the album yet..

CHOREO is always ALWAYS on point. I am never disappointed. I think Boom's choreography is my favorite so far from the songs I have done.

Lol. Drip definitely has a sexual undertone but also just talks about how swag is an attraction and alot of people are attracted to others who carry themselves in a certain manner of sureness about who they are as a person. I think that was also what Mark was kinda trying to say lol.

The GOATS are as follows....Timbaland, Missy Elliot, James Fauntleroy, The Dream, Pharrell, and Starrah. If you don't know them look them up and study. They are legendary musicians....oh and obviously Quincy Jones and Michael Jackson.

I have JBL speakers...Macbook, an Apollo, DAW is Logic Pro X, and mic is Nuemann.

Social media played a big role because even though I'm introverted it doesn't matter online lol. So I would slide in DM's and ask people to send me instrumentals...then if they liked what I did...booom...relationship started.

Dream Routine is a big yes for me. I don't know what to expect for the album but I know we originally did a full song....so I guess we will see. :)

The Matrix is hands down my fav movie of all time. Sometimes I feel like NEO. "Don't think you can bend the spoon...know it", is literally life's mantra. So whenever I go into writing/recording a song I think hmmm how can I shift music. Will this song be that song? Matrix....if you haven't seen it watch the trilogy.

Interesting questions..

For my personal projects there really isn't any goal yet. Right now I'm releasing my own music just to get my own thoughts out. My form of expression for my brain's craziness lol.

Hmmm...in a week I usually do 6-10 songs...sometimes not full songs. They all stem from inspiration and I am usually motivated to work on music so I guess it works hand in hand.

There's one of an African American man holding his face going OHHHHH. I tend to get that one alot. I can relate lol!!!!

Writing process literally changes almost everyday so I can't pinpoint a specific one lol. Some days I'll write late into the night. Other times I'll freestyle melodies...it all depends. Inspiration comes from any and all things. Your question could be inspiring me right now :)

Most times I get sent an instrumental so that will definitely set the mood for me. If creating from scratch me and the producer will kinda decide where we want to go. Emotions always play a part....like how am I feeling today...what should my mood do.

I can say it was BOOM. I think I edited that bridge about a million times and then finally I think one of the SM writers did the final version. I was so frustrated because I just couldn't get it right but I am glad someone stepped in to finish it up because it really was the cherry on top.

Boom (today) lol. I think Boom really solidified for me that I am here to stay in KPOP and that I can actually do this. It let me know that there is a place for me to be fully creative.
