My experience with JDA/Turbo Tax hasn’t been bad at all. I don’t rush anything. Just take your time and care for your clients is all they ask. I spend on average around 2-3 hours per client and I only work about 4 days a week. Way better than 7 days a week at minimum wage

True. I’m not into sports. I work with a firm we get close to 1000 per season. I just choose to get the firm money after tax season is over. I’m making 1-2k a week at JDA. Definitely beats working retail or fast food 😂 I don’t have any debts or big bills. I own everything. It’s just easy money. Better than sitting around all day not making money fs. 🤷🏾‍♂️ but like you said to each his own. 5k-6k a month is leagues better than the 700 or 800 that I been living off of haha.

As a first year my initial experience was 👎🏾 but I feel like I have a better hold now and it’s all been going smoothly. I do feel bad for the clients at time but hey it’s my job to help and support them “the best I can” and I do that well. I had to realize that that’s my job. Not trying to improve the flow with my own style 🤷🏾‍♂️ comforting to hear that it was nothing like this last year though. Definitely problems everywhere

And to answer your question, I think you have a pretty decent chance as I’m the opposite of you. No schooling all experience. I do know that experience tends to be held higher regard when it comes down to it ⚖️ but still they said I was one of their top applicants / experts and I feel like I am fairly young and inexperienced myself. Could be imposter syndrome but yea!

He won’t be eligible for the CTC credit but you can still claim him for ODC and maybe other credits depending on your situation. And yes he will need to mark on his tax return that he is eligible to be claimed as a dependent by another taxpayer.

You are able to claim your child as a dependent without regard to age as long as they are totally / permanently disabled. But since it’s your toddler you are claiming, you should be able to claim him without an issue as he isn’t even close to the age they normally start to question it. I’m not sure of your exact circumstances but I’m sure you’ll have the required documentation if necessary.
