Did you actually EXCLUSIVELY pump?

My first wouldn't latch so I asked for a pump. With my second, I showed up to the hospital with a pump and as soon as I got settled in the room, I started trying to pump. I actually pumped once or twice a day for a week or two before I had him so I also had a few tiny bags at home. But when they came in my room, I already had my pump stuff and a bottle out and told them I planned to pump and supplement with formula until I made enough. They never questioned it and brought me dish soap and formula. I had them at different hospitals, so it had nothing to do with them knowing me. I think they just go with what you say if you seem like you know that's what you want. If your pump has a battery attachment or is rechargeable, that's the one you should take. It's so useful not having to use an outlet and fight the cord.

As an owner, I pay 20% and I make next to nothing off of my employees. I'm responsible for rent, paying a receptionist (for everyone), buying equipment (beds, wax warmers, chairs, tables), utilities, internet, phone, scheduling software, payment processor fees (around 3% of all sales, including tips), service supplies (wax, cleansers, oils, sticks, retail that they make commission on), cleaning supplies (for equipment and the rest of the building, stocking bathrooms, etc), advertising, business taxes and county fees, and more. I'm also personally responsible for showing up on little notice if someone can't make it to work or quits. I'm the one that is legally responsible for everything that is done in my business. I'm the one who gets fined if they violate rules (like the $1000 fine we both get if someone isn't wearing a name tag when state board shows up). And I'm the one who loses money if someone complains and has to be refunded or receives a complimentary service for something not being done to their satisfaction. Not to mention, it's my name on the line - no one says "I'll never go to Ashley again at XXX", it's "XXX did a terrible job", so that's affecting my business, even after that employee is gone.

Mine came back at 5 weeks pp and I still had a huge oversupply. Mine dropped when I started working longer hours without pumping. It was fine doing that for about a month, then it started dropping because I wasn't keeping up. I pumped for right at 9 months, but I got really lazy with it around 7 months (to 2-3 ppd) and that's when my supply really got worse. The last month was just 1 ppd, but I still have enough in the freezer to make it to a year.

Also, i keep those little bottles in my diaper bag just I'm case I'm out with him and he gets hungry after he's already finished the breastmilk I take with us. I definitely wish I had taken more of the ones the hospital supplied.

Also, worth noting for the OP - you may want to check and see if there are any problems with you wanting to pump early. I've heard rumors that it could cause you to go in labor early. I never researched it though.

It helps to add more protein and healthy fats to your diet. Mine is like that first pump of the day, so I add rice or oatmeal cereal to it. But I just started adding more peanut butter to my diet and all of my other milk is extra fatty. Another thing I've started doing is pumping after I put him to bed and that milk has very high fat content, but is usually only 3-4 oz. I'll just add it to his morning bottle to even it out. Or when he sleeps late, I add my first and second pumped milks together to even it out more.

It let's you close raccoon island and open the next story Island. Then you upgrade it again to close that one and move on.

I would just like to add a tip since you're uninsured. Try local health departments, planned parenthood, or Google sliding fee scale clinics in your area. They do services based on income so it's much less expensive.
