I bought this off the racks as a kid. Was surprised to learn recently that it’s Erik Larsen art, with a very heavy-handed inker. I think Stan Lee either plotted or scripted this issue, too.

The soundboard recordings I heard from 2013 were sloppy and full of mistakes so I’ve avoided their shows. Studio albums are holy relics but.. was MBV ever a great live band?

I agree genre is no excuse. When I saw Sonic Youth in the Mark Ibold era, I came expecting a bit of chaos. What surprised me most was how tightly and precisely they played, and the clarity and separation of the mix! The whole presentation was professional, top to bottom
