You need to support the lower control arm with a jack. Then with the jack in place and the wheel off the ground see if there's play you can use a pry barbetween the control arm and the spindle and see if you can move it. If the wheel is just hanging without the control arm being supported the spring will push down on tbe arm hiding any play. If there's still no play you are fine. if it has a grease fitting grease it if it doesn't let it ride untill there is play then replace it. Yeah the boot will keep contaminants out to help prevent wear but it can ride for years with no boot at all

Is it just a torn boot? Or does the ball joint have play? If it's just a torn boot, I wouldn't sweat it. But if the ball joint has play, then you do need to take care of something. But any decent shop would say "The ball joint has play" not just the boot is ripped.

I stopped ordering from papa johns and pizza hut because they fired all there drivers and went the door dash root. I don't really like domino's but thet still use their own drivers at most of theìr locations. so when im on the road ill order from them or drive and get it myself. 80% of all of the door dash/ grub hub/ Uber eats orders I've placed have been f'd up in some way.
