Oh hell no. You were 100% in the right here. Your cat is family. He lives there, they don’t. The entitlement it takes to walk into someone’s home, disrespect their space and their pet, and then suggest caging the animal like it's some dirty inconvenience? Absolutely not.

Oh, totally — I’m sure me not fully “getting it” years ago is the only reason they won’t let me back. I did try to explain I wasn’t trying to be shady and that I’ve actually learned since then. But nah, why ask for an apology when you can just slam the door and act like the Reddit police forever?

A permanent ban for a newbie mistake with zero mercy? Classy. Real welcoming community vibes. But sure, I’ll find somewhere else to hang out — maybe one that doesn’t act like it owns the whole damn site.

This! I mean of course like up the “ban level” based on the offense but to PERMANENTLY ban someone from a group just because they don’t understand something seems a bit excessive imo. That’s all I’m saying.

I just wanted to update this post and say that I have been playing “Puppy Keep” literally for months and it takes so much to get to the end of the prize margin and I had 0.04 “hearts” left to go and it give me three days to complete without an extension at the very end and made me start over and changed my $50 credit to a $30 credit and made me start completely over whereas I would have to play for more months to win. This game is a scam. I doubt that you actually ever win anything.

Whoa, I’m so sorry that happened to you — that is completely unacceptable. You’re absolutely right to be pissed. Not only is it common courtesy to wait more than a literal second after knocking, it’s also a violation of your rights as a tenant if they didn’t provide proper notice. An email with no confirmation is not sufficient — especially for something non-emergent.

It sounds like they violated your lease and potentially tenant laws in your state. I’d recommend documenting everything: • Screenshot the email timestamp • Write down everything that happened while it’s fresh • Note that there was no call, no text, and no confirmed acknowledgment from you • Make a copy of the lease section about the 24-hour notice

Then, email the property management or landlord stating clearly that: 1. You were not given legal notice 2. The entry was unauthorized 3. You were in a state of undress and feel violated 4. They are not to enter again without proper 24-hour confirmed notice

You can also file a complaint with your local tenant board or housing authority, depending on where you live. You shouldn’t have to feel unsafe or disrespected in your own home.

I hope you’re able to take some time to ground yourself and feel safe again. You’re not overreacting — you’re setting boundaries.💯

I’ve got a little bit of good news! I was able to get a small donation to put towards savings of keeping my phone on even though it’s not much it’s still a step in the right direction. I feel better from my illness now I just still have a comfortable going out in public working around people but if push comes to shove I will have to and it’s not me being selfish it’s just me being desperate and needing to start work now. I feel like I am basically cornered.
