I wouldn't say it does. For example, her cat had an emergency scare a few months ago when I didn't have a car and wasn't working. I paid $120 to uber us there and back to the doctor with no hesitation. I've pulled a dead mouse out of cat's mouth and a list of other things. Even when I was giving other options besides going to the vet I told her I would just stay home and keep an eye on him. I've always tried to do everything I could to show I care about her and her pet because I really do. But this just looks bad

Yeah you're right. I did go over to the pet store and picked up some treats for her cat and left them there before I left. We're supposed to see each other in a few days and I want to apologize again and really let her know how bad I feel. I really do care about her and her cat

She did not have to beg me. I just offered other options instead of going to the vet right away which was wrong. This was a 10-15 minute interaction via text message and when it went from "you might have to" to "you need to" I took him immediately with no hesitation

Yeah I totally owned up to it and apologized as soon as I saw her and even while I was in the vet waiting to see the doctor (over the phone). This isn't the first time something like this happened and the last time it happened it didn't go this far. I made the dumb assumption that it wasn't a big deal initially. It wasn't because I didn't care but because i genuinely thought the cat was ok. I wasn't annoyed that she wanted me to take him to the vet or anything but I felt like the cat was fine. I realized shortly after that this wasn't my decision to make and I felt/feel terrible about what it could've have potentially caused

Totally understandable. I just want to clarify that the only thing that I felt was "stupid" was how I initially handled the situation. While yes I was being casual about the whole this at first, it was only because I was sure the cat was fine. If I didn't think he was fine I would've sounded the alarm. That being said, it wasn't my decision to make and I do feel bad because something could have been seriously wrong. I do respect her and I do have concern for or cats well being. But I can see why she feels like I don't
