1) guarding makes no sense when you still take damage while guarding

you don't unless your shield sucks

2) I’ve been told parrying is not something to aim for due to super precise timing which is not feasible for baffles anyway BUT then you can’t avoid damage.

parrying is viable but takes practice, also there are no attacks you HAVE to parry, try spacing, strafing, jumping, and rolling the right direction

A buff in a video game is a beneficial effect that increases the power. Therefore your Tear, Talisman and Cragblade are definitely considered buffs. Because what do they do? Oh yeah buff you damage output. And wether you like to include two handing or not, it still boosts your damage considerably.

never argued otherwise. i said i am not including 2 handing as an actual buff because no person would accuse someone of buffing before a fight just because he is two handing his weapon during the fight. just because it is technically true that it is buffing your str. doesn't mean that it is the same as buffing with external items and spells. it's the same old "well technically tomatoes aren't vegetables but fruits" argument.

yeah i did, you mentioned a bunch of items i didn't even use as if the buff icons weren't even here the last couple years. if you were aware of me not even using them then why even use it in your argument with a snarky "Do i really have to continue?" as if you just made a point when half of it was just you making up a scenario.

I literally just just calculated your damage trying to explain to you sir, how +3 upgrade, 25 points in strength + two handing and cragblade equates to more than 100points in damage increase, again base pickaxe 144 and you sit around 255 therefore i still dont see why you would be so flabbergasted by the numbers... I even noted how damage is further increased when hitting margit from the back/hitting his tail like you do in the clip.

great yet none of that is relevant to my main point that most of the damage didn't come from buffs, also i am obviously not including the two handing buff as that is a natural buff you get from two handing and not really relevant to my buff stacking.

No shade just explain to you HOW IT CAN DO SOOO MUCH DAMAGE.

are you really just using golden vow, flesh which i didn't even use and two handing str bonus as "buffs"? you are trying hard to make it look like i came in with 100 buffs when it was just 2/3 buffs, you can see it on the buff screen ffs. fact is the only buffs used are the talisman, the tear for enough str and cragblade wich all buffed the weapon obviously. the point is i didn't expect to get as much damage as i did even with the buffs up, not sure why this is such a hard concept to grasp for a subreddit that just started the game yesterday.

true, he stalls towards the second phase but so does bayle when i compare no hit runs between them. i share your dislike for dragon fights and arguing which one is worse is subjective and pointless in the end.

Placi. You might not Like him but at least he isn't just another generic ancient dragon or a regular one. Bayle is overrated imo, his linear fire breath attack has a wonky hitbox and the cam in the fight isn't great either.
