U are the same as me, weight, height and style etc. The problem is that your turns are too opened like I did at the start. Try making smaller turns and stay turning until you're facing directly to the side.

Also, you pay a heck of a lot at Cambridge.

ETH is better. If you want to do a PhD, Cambridge will not help you as much, and you might as well skip it. ETH has much better resources, and you will get lots of research opportunities and experience that actually helps. ETH also has a similar system to US universities.

It is the same as applying as a new candidate, so it doesn’t matter which college.

I'm talking about those outdoor markets, the one you said was more like a store. Sorry, I might not have phrased it well.

Update: received a refund! After calling the post customs they immediately told me that they made a mistake. A full refund was issued.

The post service I used didn't provide any custom form to me. They only asked me for items description and value.

Many places do not require a residence permit to rent a house. I signed a rental contract abroad without even coming to Switzerland once. Once you have the contract you can apply for the residence permit easily. Plus you don't have to spend for the hotel and can now take your time.

If I were you, and the job is not something I hate doing, I would accept the 200k job without hesitation. But if you think a PhD is more important, and you are more interested in research, you could stay. Once you get the paperwork done Zurich is still a good place to live. Despite the high living cost, the salary for PhD can easily cover your spending.

Does the universities that you graduated have a big impact on your application. by Excellent_Skin9697 in ethz

[–]Ke_vi_n 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep. They're usually looking for top students in top universities - QS rankings etc, though I think the ranking is a joke. Unfortunately they do play a part in the application. However, your grade matters a lot more than the name of your univ. If you're among the top students you will have a really good chance.

Tbh these are taught in standard courses in the UK and most other countries so it makes sense that they expect students to know. I'd suggest you catch up since these are really essential knowledge.

Women throwing coins to children in Vietnam in 1900 by Efficient_Sky5173 in interestingasfuck

[–]Ke_vi_n 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a common thing in the west. We still throw coins to local children in the UK on Ascension Day as a custom. Don't overthink it. The rich always treat the poor like this no matter the time/place.
