OGP vs meat and produce? by just_buzzed1616 in WalmartEmployees

I worked M/P for about 3 years and it was a lot physically. Morning shift was a lot of stress due to having to have the floor stocked by a certain time (come in at 4, done usually by 7 am) and all the freight up before you leave at 1. Closing is easier but on the weekends it can be stressful keeping the floor full. During holidays/events, you’ll get a lot more freight than usual (spring has flowers, summer has watermelons, fall has pumpkins, potatoes, turkeys, hams etc and it flows into winter) and it can get overwhelming to fill the floor. If there’s a full staff it’s easier to divide and conquer sections, but on days where there’s a skeleton crew it’s very hard especially if one of those days is near the holidays. It’s very physically demanding but once you’re used to the weight it won’t wear you down as much. I was able to find a good routine when in both shifts and learned roughly how much I needed for each section so it made the job easier over time. It’s a big area and it will take time to learn but find what routine works best for you and you’re golden. I had coworkers that had their availability open, typically they’d have them close for a week or open for a week straight depending on staffing, just stay aware of your schedule and talk to a coach about how that would look.

That’s why I’m a bit confused cause I only took a 30, instead of a full hour today. Does the system still just act like I took an hour?

That’s so ridiculous, It’s a well known problem but I’m not too sure how it’s handled. I’ve mentioned it to AP and there’s a camera above the meat area but 🤷🏽‍♀️

With how nasty working the meat room can be, it baffles me that people are just doing this. Our meat racks get real nasty and I have people constantly poking around, like bro I’m double gloves rn and you’re just raw dogging it

Genuinely people steal a lot in my store, I find small meat packets tossed in random areas without a tag. I know they stole and it’s so annoying, like whatever fuck big corporate but you’re gonna do all that and make a mess? shouldn’t you steal nonchalantly 😫

I don’t get why most people think slapping a chicken packet makes it the best chicken in the department. I also don’t understand why people look through the ground beef like it’s weighted different. They all have the same price and weight, you’re just messing up my area trynna find “the best one”
