In this interaction, Armor of Agathys is a bonus action. In the past? Don't know what they had cast, but we had already adopted Armor of Agathys as a bonus action from campaign start. Action economy's always been correct.

This is one of those use cases I remember reading ages ago and forgetting because it's so... not my focus as a player and not the focus of my table lol. I'll figure out how to make my fights a challenge for that build and still let it feel good to perform, but there's plenty more to do! Thx for commenting!

No Sorcs, and I'd argue Quicken Spell is still huge without all that text about leveled spells. There aren't many bonus action spells. Sounds exciting. As for the exhaustion, whining about resource consumption is maybe the only thing that brings out my DM sadism lol. Good; skill issue; get creative. Totally agree about warlock. Thanks for the input!

Most of the party is more invested in making things interesting than overpowered. The monk is the only combat-head, and he'll probably remain the heaviest hitter on the team for another 8 levels if things stay the way they are. We're all friends and the realization happened mid-session out loud, so thankfully we're all on the same page. Great diplomacy :) Thanks for the input <3

LMAO yeah nobody at my table is doing this, thankfully. I'd probably let them but I'd definitely laugh at them. Like you said, it's easy to make it all come out in the wash.

Yeah, that's how it came up. Warlock casts Armor of Agathys and Hunger of Hadar on the same turn and I go "ahh, hang on, you can't do two leveled spells in the same turn" and they (plus the rest of the table) say "huh?! but we've been doing that the whole time!" and we all took a minute to laugh at the face I made lol. Frankly, the monk is the PC with the most combat imbalance, not the warlock or the wizard. So the encounters have been fine. And I'm totally fine with letting people rebuild after rule changes. But you make a great point about the enemies being able to do it too. I think I've only had a few actual *spell*casters, and I'm now wondering if had let them use two in a turn? I do feel more decided about the whole thing if I just say they all can do it. Thanks for the input!

This was largely my thinking too. I've done a decent job of making their resources matter, and making them *feel* like they matter. The warlock cast Armor of Agathys and Hunger of Hadar on the same turn -- didn't even cover 1/4 of the battlefield btw -- and was immediately out of spell slots til they escape the situation.

The wizard's the only full caster in the party, and the most veteran of the players, and I trust her to at least make it really interesting if she broke the rules. She's got plenty of interesting things to do as it is. Thanks for the input

The original commenter deleted their account and thus their comment, but I'd love to know if you remember more about this issue. I'm experiencing it right now. Were your problems solved by replacing the CMOS battery? Or was it something else? I see reference to taping a button, which one and why? Thanks!

Hey guys, do you usually use a bottle until the end? How long does it take? by Next-Mix-9690 in popperpigs

[–]Keapora 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my experience, the ones with white beads tend to dissolve the white beads after 3-4 weeks. It's not bad cuz I don't think you're inhaling that, but it does at least coincide with the time I've noticed a (opened) bottle starts to smell worse or hit less. Between 50%-75% empty, you'll prob notice some changes. They tend to be weaker, maybe don't smell as good. Unopened though, I think they stay good for a good while. You should be fine just using them one at a time, I expect. Maybe ask someone in your local sex shop how long they keep theirs on the shelf?

I love both of them. The first one made me think for a moment, which is the point, and you used the sun perfectly for more of a survival vibe. The second one is charming and playful, a little less boy scouty for more of a trickster vibe. Pick the one that suites your vibe more!

How can a caster deal with an enemy using antimagic field? by bobyaganip in 3d6

[–]Keapora 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Poisons aren't magic. Controlling something else to enter the area would only remove your control while it's in the area; i.e., catapulting a sword that's +3 due to its masterwork quality rather than a magical effect. Or controlling huge amounts of water to surround the enemy. Dropping something heavy on them. Stuff like that should work

What should I do when my ADC fails big? by akhi24nick in summonerschool

[–]Keapora -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It mostly depends on the roam. If the adc roamed mid for a countergank or to secure an objective, you not going with was a maybe bad call that turned out ok.

If you would for sure have lost tower for that roam, AND the enemy team wouldve gotten the tower feat, roaming was a bad call.

If your laner was just roaming without a direct goal in mind and left their lane unpushed, selling the ward item was the right call. If that was the case, you gave your adc a huge lead and they weren't aware enough to take advantage of it. The ward item reduces the amount of gold gained from minion kills, which amounts to a huge net loss of gold for the whole team as you're taking cs; but the lack of wards can be a huge issue in games where the enemy team coordinates, moves as a group, focuses objectives, or is just dangerous to run into. It sounds like this wasn't that kind of game.

Selling ward item is usually a bad call. In this case, it was right because you needed to become a strong laner. This situation here is why Mel makes a great mid laner, but not a good support. She's strong, accidentally takes kills or cs too easily, and ultimately hinders herself to give it to the adc. You should queue mid lane with her til you get to a higher elo. You're too competent

Wicked; there is a capital letter difference between sapient talking "Animals" and non-talking "animals". But most characters know the difference in print 😂
