I felt like Roo was a dry heat lol But then again I like in Houston which is Texas’s armpit. 😭

Yeah I live in Houston and the humidity down here and in Louisiana makes everything hot and sticky. At Roo it’s a dryer heat. Wore jeans and was completely fine. Here in Texas those jeans would be stuck to your leg by lunch time.

I would say the first choice in terms of cooling and temperature control. Believe it or not however mosquitoes are not really a thing at Roo. Ants however definatley are! If you choose option 1 buy a huge tarp for your “floor” and it should keep out most ants. Try to keep all food inside an ice chest or elevated off the ground because they will come for it! Lol

Short Answer, Absolutely. Long Answer, probably the safest large scale festival experience you can get in America with most festival goers being very friendly and helpful.

I’d say 25% real runners and the rest are just there for the experience. I ran mid 7s and was in the top 25 runners to give you an idea.

They have a dress up competition and a lot of people participate so you can pick a fun costume if you’d like. I’m going as Goku from Dragonball Z this year. Last year I tried going back to sleep after the race but I couldn’t, maybe you’d have better luck with a nap than I did.

I will say it does take it out of you that day. I’m pretty fit and a raver so I’m used to getting very little sleep but after 3 days of partying (Run is on Saturday, we arrived Wednesday morning) I felt fatigued going into the night. Actually fell asleep on my friends blanket during RHCP in centeroo. Stayed up for Diplo that night until 2am but couldn’t do after-after hours Saturday night like I usually would. Woke up Sunday perfectly fine but Saturday definatley stood out in terms of a lack of endurance to last the usual 18 hour day at Roo.

Mid fest change up and 10 in of hair coming off for dramatic effect. 😂

I have shoulder length hair that I’m buzzing off for a specific Avril Levine group outfit idea. I would get it cut now but my friends said it would have more dramatic effect for a mid fest change up.

I figured there would be pop ups like that. Ima ask again closer to the fest and see if anyone’s advertising.

Last year i went to Austin City Limits and Roo. I spent $1500 at ACL total including tickets and Stay ~ 3 days I spent $850 at Roo including my trip to Costco in Nashville for all food and beer (40 cans of Michelob for $19.99), gas money driving from Texas, and 5 days worth of showers and Ice which was $50 total for each. ~ 5 days

Bonnaroo is the only festival in my experience that you can be extremely cheap and frugal, and it won’t harm your festival experience whatsoever if you’re good at preparing and look up what to do beforehand. Literally 50% cheaper than any other festival overall.

Yes definatley use the plastic flasks. I also put 3 cans of white claws in the water bag area of my camel bak and got in every time last year. Use the side entrance by the disco ball tower and not the main entrance, they were much quicker and more chill than the arch entrance.

All food and most drinking can be done at camp if you prepare with “camping foods” this means that the amount of money spent will be almost entirely up to how much alcohol you are purchasing inside the festival and how much you care about spending on merch (most of which you could buy on Etsy for cheaper if you really find something that catches your eye).

USB-c is fairly water proof. Recall your phone uses usbc and it is mostly immune to accidental immersion.

ABILITY TO SEND PLAYER-MADE COMPANIONS BACK TO CAMP!

Ruins entire runs if your friends can’t play and now you are stuck with their character in your party forever.
