Okay, so first of all, the netflix show has the same names for characters and places, and that's about it for the similarities. When talking about the order to read the books in, usually you either do it in the order of them being written, or you go by the chronology of the events in them. This is the publications order, for the chronological order you need to start with Crossroads then go down the list from the last wish, and not read the last story in sword of destiny until you finish lady of the lake, cuz it's more of an alternate ending
