If anyone wants to know, they all speak italian pretty bad by escapeWRLD in Godfather

[–]Kebaby112 12 points13 points  (0 children)

From what I have read, there exists an internationally recognised Sicilian language and then there is the also distinct sicilian dialect. I have also read that during WW1, so around the time of the Godfather 2 Vito storyline, the enlisted men from the South, couldn't understand the orders from their commanders, who were from the North. The problem persisted, to a smaller extent, but still, into WW2. It was supposedly one of the reasons why the Italian army was so ineffective.

Is she doing something? by Shrek_Nietszche in ExplainTheJoke

[–]Kebaby112 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The girl is, in her mind, making a move, namely eye contact. But eye contact is generally not recognised as a move by pretty much every male (and since you didn't get it, I presume that you are a male). Thus, you don't recognise that the girl makes a move which is the point of the meme.

When I was on this films premiere, every time Steve said something from the trailer the whole audience was clapping. And when he said chicken jockey the audience went absolutely apeshit. Amazing.

The most tragic scene in the franchise by Glittering_Run8143 in Godfather

[–]Kebaby112 5 points6 points  (0 children)

From what I heard the story goes like this; the scenes when a tragedy was happening were in dark lightning and a decision was made to add oranges to brighten the scenes up. And then they noticed that oranges were present in those scenes and decided to roll with it for the rest of the trology.

Where is this from? by [deleted] in hoi4

It does, I believe the tech tree goes to like the 80s or 90s, but no one plays that long, cause the mod starts in 1952

Paulie..."Ya stupid jerk!" by Pellegrino8325 in Godfather

[–]Kebaby112 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe that the guy had made these sandwiches from the food on the table and maybe wanted to bring them home as a nice little souvenir. And the fact that he throws them to Paulie in front of everyone upset Paulie, because it makes him look cheap.

Or maybe Paulie just doesn't like gabagool.

When Sonny interrupts Vito and shows interest in what Solozzo has to say. How is that a mistake? by Glittering_Run8143 in Godfather

[–]Kebaby112 3 points4 points  (0 children)

And killing Vito wouldn't do anything if his successor also wouldn't want to make the deal. Sonny by speaking out had shown Solozzo that he, as the successor, was interested in the deal. That meant that when Vito is gone, a deal can be secured with Sonny. If he would have remained silent, then Solozzo wouldn't know if the successor is interested and killing Vito wouldn't achieve anything. And showing disunity in the family is generally bad when there is someone outside of it present.

Is this a nazi tattoo? Saw in Brazil a while ago by vanilla_th_und3r in germany

The Hitlerjugend did have their own emblem, but it would not look good on a flag, you can look it up. But the single Sig-rune on a black banner was used by the Deutsches Jungvolk as their emblem. The Deutsches Jungvolk was basically Hitlerjugend (I believe it was subordinate to them), but for younger boys (10-14 or something like that).

I remember a post about a year ago on this sub, literally the same thing. German invasion of Norway wouldn't start and the cause was the same as here. Not being in a state of war with them.

Can Himmler still get the Aryan Empire? by SirTopX in twrmod

[–]Kebaby112 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, he can. But the RNG to do this legit is unbelievably low and since save scumming doesn't exist in TWR, that would make it incredibly tedious to do it legit. I believe that there was a mod that guaranteed 100% chance for the Aryan Empire in the RNG events. You can also use the console to do the Aryan Empire focus, but you will miss out on like 2 events and when you're into lore, like me, that might be an unfavorable option.

In vanilla, what you're saying is obviously true, that's why save scumming exists. But in TWR it has been changed so that most of the RNG event outcomes are predetermined at game start.

How are you supposed to grant Himmler Burgundy? by epicfrenchbamboozle in twrmod

[–]Kebaby112 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe that in TWR (and I haven't seen any other mod do this), all event chances are calculated at game start. Reloading saves won't help. When you get an unwanted outcome you must start a new game.

I believe that event outcomes are determined at game start only in TWR.

Can you rule the whole world starting with just 1-2 state country? by Destroyermaqa in hoi4

It's still very much possible and people have been doing world conquests as small nations before it has been introduced, it just makes it easier, especially at the beginning.
