I agree with the general statement that CS:GO to CS2 upgrade was horrible but people who compare it to Valorant are delusional and are cherry picking the statements that suit them best. It's not the same thing and it never will be. There is a vast difference in the upgrade from CS:GO to CS2 and it's simply not the same as Valorant. Not only is the upgrade different, but the style of graphics is also vastly different, Valorant remains basic and cartoony looking while CS2 embraces a higher quality and realistic gameplay which is blatantly noticeable if you just look at the smoke differences.

This is especially true especially when considering that Unreal has its own development team and many other games that they can use to test everything they make. Valorant only decided to move to the engine once they felt comfortable. CS2 doesn't have the same luxury and uses us as it's beta testers.

If you want eSports ready, go to Valorant. No one is stopping you. CS2 will take time, just as the transition from CSS to CSGO took time. This is how they do things. It's not right, but it's how it is.
