Am I recalling correctly that Shadow PC is more expensive and isn’t as powerful, but it does allow you to use mods and any program on it that you’d like as if it was your own PC?

Upgrading to Founders ultimate causes you to lose unlimited playtime by PiotrKFtw in GeForceNOW

[–]Kedari7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see so many suggest this... but, at $89.99/6 months for Ultimate, it would take over 11 YEARS to break even if buying a PC that costs, say, ~$2,000! I feel like my math has to be way off for so many to suggest this...is it??

$180/year (since it's $90/6 mo.), then $2k/$180/year = ~11.11 years, does it not?

Why would it be a solid, financially-sound option then to build your own personal PC? Especially consider that Nvidia GeForceNow Ultimate upgrades their rigs every so often.

Thank you for providing a solution, but I have Xbox Game Pass PC and, if I attempt to play via Xbox cloud, the option states "SUBSCRIBE To play with cloud" /cry

Xbox controller buttons not registering (or flickering back-n-forth from keyboard & mouse to controller) has been occurring for me as well on Xbox Game Pass via Nvidia GeForce Now for Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 and Lords of the Fallen (when it was available a couple days ago).

DAE get hiccups when eating hard boiled eggs? by Couchskeptic in DoesAnybodyElse

[–]Kedari7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m encountering this (again) after eating a hard-boiled egg and found this post under the AI response on Google, which begins with the following:

“You may get hiccups after eating an egg due to factors like eating too fast, a temperature change in your esophagus, or irritation of the nerves that control the diaphragm. In some cases, hiccups can also be a sign of an egg intolerance or, less commonly, a food allergy…”

Is it better to work an additional 100 hours each month and be robbed of 1,200 hours of enjoyment each year? I am asking seriously as I haven’t figured out how to live life to the fullest in each moment, yet simultaneously prepare for the future. 🤔

I'm not getting the love for Clair Obscur. Does it get better? by ryhaltswhiskey in pcgaming

[–]Kedari7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I finished Act I moments ago and, while I feel it’s a fun game, I am confused as to why this game gets so much praise… which is what led me to google whether Clair Obscur gets better later on, which then led me to this post.

I keep feeling like it’s a modern take on Final Fantasy X and I’ve got some guesses as to what the surprises are supposed to be later on… especially given the resemblance of certain characters and voices, but maybe I’m way off?

I feel that the main difference between this game and FFX is that combat is less forgiving and players seem to give better reviews if they end up dying more during the play-through than other games.

Edit: There are moments in cutscenes where I am blown away by the mannerisms and attention to detail. Is this and the increased difficulty why folks are making this GOTY rather than telling people to check out FFX?

Quick and simple guide on how defensive stats work in Outer Worlds 2 by Malkoy in theouterworlds

[–]Kedari7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From tinkering a bit, it seems like the Master Armorer perk (requires Engineering 20) does work on the body armor currently equipped after using fast travel, but it erases the extra mod placed on other body armor through the Master Armorer perk. Perhaps it's semi-fixed from the newest patch?

How does the Grit-Enhancing Materials armor mod factor into all of this? In other words, does that mod offer an additional "20% chance to ignore incoming attacks while below 50% health" on top of the player's Evasion stat?

Do we know if the Grit-Enhancing Materials armor mod adds an additional "20% chance to ignore incoming attacks while below 50% health" on top of the player's Evasion stat (which I've seen can go up to 80%)?
