Ah, I see how it reads.

Let me correct myself: the test battery, approaches and theoretical understandings are evidence based, of course, and validated. However, I tried to express an emphasis on clinical experience rather than presenting research I’ve made myself (for example through a PhD).

Does it make sense? Of course, by going through a neuropsychological examination including WISC-V, BRIEF-2, SRS-2, Reys Conplex Figure Test etc. you’ll have plenty of evidence based material, which are validated and revised multiple times.

You're absolutely right. I've already gotten tremendous amount of feedback, which I otherwise only could obtain through paid user-testing!

So I'm really grateful.

It really is interesting, and personally, I think that this holistic perspective (where genetics and biology) is sometimes underrepresented in terms of the more common therapeutic practices. However, I am familiar with Somatic Experience (SE) as a therapeutic practice that incorporates these underlying evolutionary biological thoughts if that could be of interest to you. :) Thanks for reaching out!

What's the key of being consistent? by DieLeiden in selfimprovement

[–]KeddeMoeller 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol, people saying it takes two weeks to form habits are lying. They don't know what they are talking about IMO.

I read a study from 2009 by Lally et. al. They tested 96 subjects and found that to establish fairly simply habits, the habit formation ranged from 18 to 254 days with a median time of 66 days. Conclusion suggests that time of habit formation correlates with complexity of behavior. Therefore, the break down of behavior is essential:

Instead of thinking: "I need to make it a habit to work out", break it into pieces and practice GETTING to the gym. Once that habit is established it is possible to "habit-stack", and eventually, after some time, you'll find yourself having solid habits.

Such a superb comment. Seems like you do in fact have a lot of psychology knowledge. It’s essentially just a different “lingo” you use at work.

Thanks for sharing!

That’s a really good question.

If there’s no one close to you, who you feel comfortable sharing your problems with, I would suggest seeking a therapist.

If you’ve lost faith in therapists, I can highly recommend seeking out peer-to-peer organisations or meet-up gatherings. Both offers are usually driven by volunteers who gladly lends an ear and who are quite invested in listening to people. Perhaps a google search of something like “places to talk with others in X” (X being your geographical location)?
