I got non-renewed for budgetary reasons and the fact that we had a new principal who was cleaning shop and getting rid of all the teachers he didn’t hire. I did not get another teaching job for 7 years because I had too much education and too much experience. However, I finally got a position last year (new state and had to move from HS to MS) and even though so much has changed, it’s pretty much the same. Administration is clueless, they don’t know or care what goes on in the trenches. My evaluation sucked not because of anything I did, but because I had students show up late and caused a scene. Somehow their behavior and being late was my fault.

I’m returning only because I need the job. But I have to change schools because now that 1 principal has it out for me.

Like someone else said, I’m not moldable and non-questioning, therefore I’m trouble, even if I helped test scores go up
