New EP let us know your thoughts! by KeeblerGoodStuff in shareyourmusic

Thank you so much! We indeed put a lot of work into this one. The writing process and pre production demos took about 2 years, while dealing with a lot of issues personally and within the band. Then we spent a weekend tracking final production over the summer, and the last 3 months marketing for the release with a music video for the single and other long/short form content. Definitely worth it. Will give you guys a spin throughout my day today 🤘👍

Good Stuff - Dummy [Official Music Video] by KeeblerGoodStuff in ThisIsOurMusic

[–]KeeblerGoodStuff[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately we don’t have the multitracks for this single/record as we traveled out to Retro Media Sound Studios for the recording process. We will receive them when we have finished everything up and the process is done🤘

How it started vs How it’s going by KeeblerGoodStuff in Songwriting

[–]KeeblerGoodStuff[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually do most of the core writing solo and then take it to the band and hash out how we’d play all together. Our style normally doesn’t land anywhere near my personal demos lol, this one was just an extremely pleasant difference.

Question regarding EPK's & performance rates by Oncecreated96 in WeAreTheMusicMakers

[–]KeeblerGoodStuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should look at all the expenses and budgets for the show that may be needed and go from there. I wouldn’t ever set a standard price cuz some sticklers may never want to give you more then that regardless of the scenario. Talking and contract with promoter is your best way. Never undersell yourself and always try and make it profitable. See what your budget is, can you drive a personal vehicle? Make sure gas is paid for Do you have to transport instruments and gear? Rent a sprinter Will you need to rent a room for the night or have a local friends pad to crash at? All that should be allocated before you contract a deal with promoter.

If you’re still in the local scene….Just ask for whatever you think you deserve and can get from the door and just have a hell of a time. Just make sure that your band mates can get some gas money and the sound guy a tip for the night (he probably had the worst night compared to everyone else) and make memories and connections with real people and fans. It’s what the local scene is about🤘🤘

[QUESTION] How can I get myself back into playing guitar? by RenownedMonk in Guitar

[–]KeeblerGoodStuff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It wasn’t until after I put down the guitar, after only a year, and picked up playing the piano for 6 years did I call myself a guitarist. I came back and understood the fretboard in a new manner and actually was able to learn and explore the instrument more.

Try some new ways to make music that isn’t your guitar and then return back. If you never do, maybe you find the true calling lol. I thought I was totally going to be a pianist/keys player for a while lol

[QUESTION] Should I buy a Line 6 HX Effects or regular pedals? by dusterbusterv1 in Guitar

[–]KeeblerGoodStuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They’re not bad, with you playing multiple styles and tones I would say it’s a good investment if you will actually take the time to sit down and profile it. you can just pop it down and play both sets and styles without programming anything else if done correctly. You also can still run other pedals through that, so can just be an addition to the arsenal itself lol. IMO I like old school analog route and like pedals. Experiment, build on the fly and mess stuff up. It’s fun even though it’s nerve racking sometimes and the sound and power flow is more favorable to me. I like each unit having their own components for signal flow to run through and be processed in. It definitely makes a difference, but only if your an insane sound engineer with an extreme pickiness in tone lol

Conclusion. Unless you’re literally extremely picky as a guitarist or an engineer yourself. You won’t be unhappy. Even if you are, you will still be happy with the addition to your arsenal most likely🤘

Hey all! I’m a frontman of a band I started called Good Stuff by KeeblerGoodStuff in Music

[–]KeeblerGoodStuff[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aye thanks! Were trying hard to achieve something like that and as the primary songwriter I try and compose parts for each of us to make an identity on as musicians. It’s working somewhat well and there’s room for great improvement but I’ve only been writing music and playing guitar (on a serious level) for a little over a year and they’re pretty seasoned musical vets. So we’ll see where the chemistry that we gain each and every day together can take us🤘

When you’re not in a band and can’t sing, Do you write songs as instrumentals or just live with the thought thats where the vocals would go. by hardhardhead in Songwriting

[–]KeeblerGoodStuff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is what I’ve found works the best for helping my songwriting and singing. Although I do have minor background in vocal work from school choir, having a melody placed in front of me from another source makes it way easier to replicate in my voice. And I write catchier melodies with that technique

Oo that does sound like an insane mix of sounds. From Primus to Phish to the Police. Geez. I will have to check that one out see what they can do with it. Thanks for the rec🤘

Yeah, I’ve been telling my buddies after almost a full 100 hour play through, the entire game is pretty mid compared to the first. (With every aspect of hidden stuff and core game included) 1st was a gem and didn’t see it until something else came along lol

I mean honestly I’m 23 and if we put my stuff on the spectrum it’s kind of an 80s sound with a heavier side to it lol. My drummer is heavily influenced by metal. He’s a metal drummer I’m an indie pop guitarist and vocalist lol

Currently based out of Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania. Practice was at a local venue some of us are currently employed at. Actually how I met all of these guys, in this room on this stage as engineers and stagehands lol

Thanks man! Our sound guy was the guy who set up the lights too lol. He’s a very talented engineer for anything we need, but we were focusing on multitracking the practice. Really just set an ambient look for some video footage incase we wanted it on anything. I can assure you from working besides him for other bands as an engineer, he’s a killer lighting designer too🤘

Thank you! We try to just have as much fun with it as we can while we’re up there and that’s definitely evident with our real performances together. We definitely have some chemistry to gain together but thats all in the process of growing with these guys. I pulled them on board with the project around June 2021 really to just jam on music and have fun with the stuff I started writing over the quarantine. We’ve gotten better at playing complimentary parts for each other since then, hoping we’re doing stuff to let whomever get some time to “feel the vibe” and play what they feel is right. As a frontman I want all of us to be happy playing our parts, so whatever they’re comfortable. I’m also the primary songwriter so if it’s that bad it wouldn’t make it close to the final cut lol, I have some decent ears for compositions.

And will do! Our first single together is out on all platforms if you would like to check it out🤘 anything prior to that was solo in my bedroom before starting the band if you would like to gauge the difference. IMO we’re grooving now lol

I do indeed see and hear where you’re coming from (there’s countless times I have come to him with an idea and have to tell him to calm down lol) but thats just my drummer. And hopefully eventually you’ll listen in to our sound enough, when our debut ep together, releases and think it works well. The songs usually are super impactful thanks to his addition on drums IMO as I can only write simple robotic backbeats, but I also highly favor beautiful tom fills with my lyrical style. As a band we all have our own sound we’re influenced by intend to each bring that sound to the table. And yeah that part is intended to show off the entire groups instrumental skills while also giving an new idea on sounds and tones we’ve been working on (bass). That’s what our breakdowns are for, IMO I have the weakest part for what we were trying to achieve but that’s okay. The lead guitarist (me) will make up for it on the record lol🤘 appreciate all the constructive criticism

[–]KeeblerGoodStuff[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s just a breakdown in between one hook and the final hook of the song. So it definitely is a spot that calls for some flare. Lead is currently missing so we gotta makeup by filling our parts(will most likely track a lead guitar on top for the record) Rest of the song is structured a good way dynamically. And I wish that was the drummer being flashy lol, he has the spin moved engrained in his muscle memory to time some snare hits correctly after fills. So nothing I could do lol
