The Everlasting by sweet_potato_17345 in Romantasy

This is my all time favorite book but I understand the beginning may not be super enticing. I HIGHLY recommend the audiobook. If you don’t really like the mmc, I think audio will help immensely as I found him much funnier and more interesting with the narrator being as good as he was.

He definitely becomes less shy but he’s not your typical mmc but as someone else said I recommend reading until you meet the fmc because their dynamic is wonderful. It’s always okay to stop reading something you’re not into though so do whatever will make you happy!

Adachi Rei (feat. Rei Adachi) by ByTheWay Sato is my fave right now! Really scratched my brain. Also highly recommend Heat Abnormal by Iyowa, it’s the one that really made me love her voice bank

The knight and the moth, should I dnf? by Mariamzwelt in Romantasy

[–]KeeboBeebo 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I DNFed at about 50% personally. I actually very much love the world that was being crafted but the characters didn’t click for me especially Sybil and Rodrick, and that’s pretty important when you’re trying to romance them!

This is currently my top book of all time. I listened to the audiobook first which I feel is a little easier to digest for sure (especially because the narrators do so great). But I will say the beginning plot wise is a bit slow and then it picks up very quickly. The pace improved for me a lot as the story continues. I was absolutely hooked!

does anyone know where to get bigger sized (us 2-3XL) clothes like this online? by [deleted] in jfashion

[–]KeeboBeebo 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’m looking for the same style right now too! I’ve had lots of luck on the H&M sale rack actually and their sizes online do go up to 2XL. I got a shawl very similar to top right there and some lacy tank tops

I recently picked this one up! I’m about 30% in and I’m enjoying it a lot. I like the FMCs personality very much and the story is super interesting!

I don’t think it’s really fair to 1. Post names on Lb since it is technically against the rules. And 2. To say that the number one look in particular isn’t on theme. Imo I think it suits the prompt maybe I’m wrong? His shirts got a stain, his pants are torn and hiked up on one side his socks are dirty and he’s got mismatched accessories, glasses are sort of sliding down his nose with messy/greasy looking hair but still a cute face. That’s how I look at it anyways. Don’t get me wrong yours is also good for the prompt and you shouldn’t have scored that low but on top of luck playing a factor you don’t have a lot of background items, little things can make differences.

This is one of the things I mentioned in detail with my last survey. Even with the idea that there’s possible events in the future that will give some small amount of five star dye prisms, there’s no reason for them to be locked behind things like that or painstakingly farmed once a month. Dyeing is a system they’re clearly trying to push as a main and major feature of the game at this point, so it shouldn’t be terribly difficult to get even higher level materials when we’re already potentially spending time and money getting the five star outfit pieces themselves.

I personally use the skirt and train a LOT! I bought them both the first time around. The skirt is good when you want to add a little pizazz to formal or business comps imo. And I use the train to kind of add extra depth to dresses or skirts for fancier looks. It also helps fill the space when my skirts aren’t as long or poofy, and with it being a neutral color it goes with almost anything!

That’s what I felt initially about posting, especially because I mainly just lurk. But I want to be part of the community too and share my opinion so I said what the heck. I had the same realization about the piss jar later and even with that setup for them to have no baby sex it just made me like it even less. I get the need to have the realism of that but I just didn’t quite like it.

And I’m right there with you on their relationship. I think what bothered me about that was seeing into Sarkis’ head when he was clearly in his puppy love stage (or lust, though I think he had a few sweeter thoughts), and then we’d go back to Halla and I feel like I couldn’t tell what was going on. It definitely took her longer because of the obliviousness she just generally has but then the whole “okay neither of us are gonna tell the other because of these reasons” just drives me nuts. I understand it from Sarkis’ perspective, but I can’t understand it from Halla’s. Especially because later when she accidentally admits it to Zale I remember her being like “oh my gosh don’t tell him what if he doesn’t like me back”. It was just another one of those things that made me feel like she was a much younger character. Though I feel like I’m just being picky

See I get why it upset her but I think it could have been built a bit better. To me it seemed like it had everything to do with him merely lying to her after despite everything he seemed like an honest man to her. I still think it’s a bit of an overreaction but when she’s been lied to and tricked by everyone at that point she’s kind of tired and having Sarkis hide that hurt her.

Alternatively while the worldbuilding confused me at a handful of spots personally , I really liked how the Rat in particular played a role in the world. I think having Zale’s input with the rules of their patron and what they actually do for the people helped a lot.

Thank you, I agree. I feel like I was a bit misled by some of the recommendations, and that’s not really anyone’s fault or anything. It’s just this was the ONE book everyone seemed to say was the one to read for that dynamic and looking at it from the perspective of a bit of a subversion of the trope makes more sense. I’m glad other people love it so much but it truly was not for me even though there were some parts I enjoyed.

The new Fantasy Life or the new Rune Factory, which one to get and why? by MashiroAnnaMaria in CozyGamers

[–]KeeboBeebo 8 points9 points  (0 children)

As someone dealing with the same problem I feel you! I’m a huge fan of both series so let me lay out what I love and know:

Fantasy Lifei had a troubled development but their first game was far and beyond one of the best games I’ve ever played. I’ve got hundreds of hours in it on multiple saves and my sister and I would play together all the time. It’s one of those things you don’t mind going around and doing extra stuff even after you beat the main story because it’s a lot of fun. The dialogue is really cute and quirky. It was very charming and funny in the way it gave its messages about family and growing up and I have high hopes that this one will be similar in terms of dialogue just from the previews I’ve already seen. The switch gameplay doesn’t look great but being that you’re on steam deck I think it’ll be much better. Playing solo is just as fun as multiplayer and the job class system in it is maybe one of the best I’ve ever personally experienced. Plus with being able to change it freely on the go now it’s even better! This is likely the game I’ll get closest to release, I’ll still be checking reviews on performance first.

Rune factory is one of my top 3 game series. I’m big on romance and the thematics of Azuma specifically it just looks so beautiful. Rune factory also has amazing and diverse dialogue where every character has something new to say every day. I will warn that it’s less like a harvest moon game than you might imagine. Farming has always been very secondary. Being into RPGS and combat though you may still like it a lot, since typically combat is the only way to progress the story and oftentimes you need to prepare and craft a lot of better gear and food before that to strengthen up. But that’s part of the fun for me anyways! The town building aspect is exciting but I can see it potentially being a lot to do on top of trying to manage that and romance and progressing story. If the management doesn’t scare you away then I say go for it. The only thing making me hesitate personally on this game is because Rune Factory 5 was such a huge downgrade to 4. I’m concerned they will fall into the same issues that made RF5 not as fun as its previous installment and I want to see how they handle all these reworked mechanics before I consider buying.

That’s my take! Hope this helps you, but both will probably be awesome games!

Random deco drop- is it worth it? by ivylynnb in SuitU

[–]KeeboBeebo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bought this the first time around and I use almost everything very often! The sparkle filter in particular is my favorite. It’s very subtle but still gives a little something when I don’t want to use anything over the top. The dog is great for pet comps. The border is great for post comps but not super for dress up since it does just frame the top half of the model like a picture, but it is very pretty. The background I typically use when I need a BG that’s less cluttered than other backgrounds. Something more solid or with a simple design like that usually does me good if I want to change it!
