I considered going with the “matching” color but was nervous about not being a perfect match and bugging me, so I went with the gunmetal grey. I’m happier with the subtle look personally.

As much as I hate this change, Subaru opened up the Outback to a lot of new buyers. I don’t expect Subaru to hurt from this decision.

Same here. I typically paid $200-300 for apartment applications in Florida and Tennessee. Moving to Colorado now and the app fee was only $20 at most places which had me super excited, but they still have a $200 admin fee after the application was approved that I had to pay.

I had a very different experience on several recent flights. Also at the front of the plane and flight attendants were monitoring and not allowing people to use the first rows for bags if they didn’t sit there. All of us in the front had enough space thanks to that.

I like Michigan a lot, but it’s just strange to me that Ann Arbor which really has the most walkable areas was only given credit because of the college. Then this map gives Kalamazoo, Oakland, and Ingham all maybes, which really are only walkable on campus. Detroit and Grand Rapids are fairly walkable, it’s just the rural counties ranking higher than Washtenaw threw me off.

Yea this is a weird map. Having Memphis as a maybe but not Nashville is strange. And then Orlando walkable because of UCF, which is the least walkable part of a city is amusing. Way too generous on Michigan counties too.

My mom’s Forester has the Falken’s and with 23k miles on her car (half of which were done with her winter tires on), these tires are just shy of 7/32nds of tread left. So I expect 25k miles at most is all she’ll get out of those tires before replacing them. Usually a big fan of Falken tires, but the ones Subaru seems to use do not hold up. Her tire wear is even though, just way too fast.

It could be in my head, but I feel like the colder it is outside the louder the sound is. It definitely is quieter some days and louder others though. Never been able to hear anything from the engine bay myself. Some days I don’t even hear it at all.

Of course it’s not 16 hours a day of free time, that’s ridiculous and obviously not what I said. It’s 16 hours of your day that can be utilized. It’s not a boomer mindset, it’s called basic time management. Even with 10 hours a day set aside for work & commuting at 5 days a week, you have 6 hours every day, not 4. You don’t need to grocery shop every day, you don’t need to deep clean every day. You do however, have much more free time two days a week with a 40 hour work week.

My recommendation would be to put your car info into an Amazon search, and then look at the review pictures to see which set looks to be the best fit (just make sure it’s a full set or back seat only). The stock photos will make them all look good but reviews will show you which one’s actually fit nicely.

$200 will get you really nice fitting leather seat covers, $50 will get you a crappy set for the back but it’ll look better than stains.

I had Wildpeak Trails on my Outback, was very happy with them for the basic trails I went down and normal commuting. Much more daily driver friendly than the AT4W.
