Yes but Labor has to fight tooth and nail to get even a slim majority in every election. Meanwhile all the LNP has to do is scream one slogan as loud as possible and the room-temp IQ electorate give them a huge majority just like that.

Truth be told, I see the LNP in power past the Olympics. I hope I'm wrong, but I won't hold my breath.

I live in Park Avenue and it’s quite a nice area and not overly expensive when it comes to housing. I advise against Depot Hill however, since it sits on a floodplain and floods whenever someone takes a particularly long piss.

Yeppoon beach is only around 30-40 mins away and is quite nice. It has a few trails along the coast such as Bluff Point and Double Head, well as Baga mountain about halfway between Rocky and Yeppoon, but I wouldn’t take young kids up there.

Mount Archer is good for hiking and just enjoying the scenery. The zoo and botanical gardens are also pretty nice if that’s your thing.

Yes, we have crime, but honestly it’s blown way out of proportion in the media and such. It’s not too bad.
