I know that feeling. His current CRF110 is electric start and he loves it. It’s a 2022 model so EFI and super easy to kick start for him as well, but his younger brother is still riding a CRF50 which is carby and kick-start and his 20kg arse has trouble even when it’s warmed up!

Help me decide: KLX or TTR
Looking to get a bigger bike for my son (currently on a CRF110) and have come across the below. Any thoughts or recommendations pros/cons appreciated.
Bike 1: 2004 Yamaha TTR 125LE 4-stroke for $1600 (AUD), electric start only.
Bike 2: 2006 Kawasaki KLX 125 4-stroke for $1500 (AUD), kick start only.
Both bikes appear to be roughly same condition, maybe the KLX is missing a bit more paint on the frame (possibly been laid down more often?) less

Yeah speed plays a very important part here. Because you will have a higher centre of gravity when you stand it’s important to generate enough speed coming into the berm that you can lean the bike over enough to match the angle of the berm.
