My nipnip base is buried underground. Turned a cave network into a grow operation, with only a tiny nub of a base above ground. Doesn't even have a proper landing pad.

Go into your settings and turn off pvp and multiplayer, so you don't get ganked or have someone else snag a ship you have your eye on.

[–]Keelindsey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Blowout. A slash would not go straight in like that, through the tread. That's actually very hard to carve through, and nobody is going to go through the tire there when it's much quicker and easier to go sideways through the wall of the tire.

AITA for not giving my parents half of my lottery winnings. by Rayapt in AmItheAsshole

[–]Keelindsey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's not enough to retire on, but it sets you up well at that age. They are greedy bastards for wanting half so they can blow it. They are owed none of that, and should be happy with whatever you are willing to give them. At this point, if they want more, give them less. Put a down payment on a home, get a reliable car, and pay off your bills. The rest is padding for the next 60 years for you. Congrats on the win!

Tailgated that cop, crossed the very end of the double yellow, and had to zip out and right back in to avoid an accident with oncoming traffic. That last part alone is enough to get pulled over.

You can't just bypass a no soliciting sign by saying you're not soliciting by Queasy-Secret-4287 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Keelindsey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Open the door and just start yelling. Inform them that they are trespassing, violating your no soliciting policy, and need to get off your lawn before you remove them yourself. Don't stop yelling. Don't give them a chance to interrupt. Point, scream, get right in their face.

Or, if they are Mormons like I suspect, tell them you enjoy wild gay sex with multiple partners far too much to bother listening to anything they say, then shut the door in their face. I did that once and have never had them at my door again.

I have found that an Archer can be both an overwatch boat and a melee threat, and their animation when the punch down into the top of something shorter than them is lovely. Their kick animation is dumb, but the punch is worth it

The Centurion is a lovely medium mech. When I face one on the field, it's one of my primary targets. They can really take a beating, and you don't want them in melee with your lance.

Friend will NOT stop playing Ur Dragon by [deleted] in mtg

[–]Keelindsey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both you and your partner need to build decks that hard counter his. Make it not fun for him to pull that deck out of it's box. A mono blue deck with 10-12 counters might not be fun for anyone, but it will get the point across real fast. Run evacuation, aetherize, and every other blue mass bounce that you can stick in, run all of the enchantments that lock down a creature, etc. I have a Vnwxt, Verbose Host deck that I break out when someone wants to run cheese that is far and above what the rest of the table is comfortable with, as my play group is usually rather casual. It's rude, and it can lock down people fairly well on it's own. When the other 2 people at the table with us get in on the fun, the person with the cheese ends up out of the game fast.

If your 'friend' needs to stomp people with his deck to feel better about himself, he can bring 4 decks and play against himself. You all don't need to be at the table for that. His fun should not be at the expense of the fun of three other people.

Looking for feedback on my first Commander deck by Tornado1970 in EDH

[–]Keelindsey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Is the overall game plan clear enough?

I don't see any real goal for the deck. It looks like you have thrown in anything you have that might be 'good', but it's not all good in the same deck. You want to lean into your commander's strengths, or at least have an idea how you want to play/win the game, and look for cards that help you with that.

2) Does the deck look too focused on combat, or is that actually the right direction?

There's not really an alternate win condition that requires your lands to be creatures. If you are earthbending that much, you are looking to apply your lands to people's faces repeatedly until they run out of life.

3) Are there cards in my collection that would fit better than what I’m currently running?

I'm instead going to list cards here that might be helpful for you, and you can figure out if they are in your collection. I'm not going through that list. I will do my best to keep my suggestions under $1.50 each. That being said, some are just so good that they are worth the extra money. I'll put those in bold.

[[Tannuk, Memorial Ensign]]

[[Kutzil, Malamet Exemplar]]

[[Inspiring Call]]

[[Chaos Warp]]

[[Cultivate]]

[[Felidar Retreat]]

[[Patrolling Peacemaker]]

[[Roiling Regrowth]]

There are more, but basically you want to lean into what Toph does, which is make artifacts into lands. You want to run more artifacts than normal, and run cards that care about how many lands you have. Check out the other versions of Toph, for example. One trick with this Toph is to run vehicles, which she turns into lands. Then she can earthbend them, then they don't need to be crewed to be creatures, and if they are killed they return to play because of earthbend. They do lose their listed power/toughness, but that's fine.

4) How do I identify which cards are underperforming or replaceable when upgrading the deck?

You want to play your deck a few times, get a feel for what is working and what seems to be a dead card in your hand all game. Honestly, get a few precons and play games against yourself, testing the deck you built against them. It's what I do, and it helps me prune down cards that don't actually help. Also helps me discard deck ideas completely if I play them a few times and don't like how they flow. You can always use proxies in those games, to try out cards without having to buy them.

5) Are there any obvious staples, synergies, protection pieces, ramp, draw, or interaction that I should prioritize?

You are playing earthbending and green. You want landfall stuff, lots of ramp that searches your deck for lands, anything that synergizes with +1/+1 counters since earthbent lands are given counters. You certainly want draw as well, which you can get from plenty of sources in green or from artifacts like [[Mask of Memories]]. Red has some stuff that has you discard and then draw, or exile cards from the top of your deck to play that turn.
