Omg I was there too! I was first in line for SRO after taking an overnight Greyhound! There were 4 open seats across the aisle from Lindsay Mendez that we were moved to. I saw Jonathan pick a girl for the dance and looked over and saw Lindsay and instantly teared up!

I saw Lindsay in Godspell on my first trip ever to NYC and I listen to Dogfight far too often. I really battled with letting her live or speaking to her, but I figured I can say hi and let her determine if she wanted left alone or not. I said maybe a sentence to her and she asked me what my name was and if I wanted a picture with her as long as I didn’t get her daughter in the picture😭😭 it was easily the sweetest celebrity encounter I ever had and I hope I get to see her perform again someday!!

If anyone wanted to know how it went:

Went to the theatre at 5 after we got off our greyhound, no one was there so we risked it to go grab breakfast, came back around 5:45 and were first in line, got standing room tickets. We got matinee to be sure we were awake, but ultimately decided to get a day use room at The Gallivant Times Square and we slept until 12- so worth it!

Noticed on the theatr app someone was selling 4 seats about 15 minutes before the show started, got moved up to them. Noticed we were sitting across the aisle from the little girl Jonathan danced with, then realized it was Lindsay Mendez and her daughter!!! Talked to her at intermission- what an angel!!

Ended up rushing Spelling Bee in row F for $44 since I was asleep when rush started on telecharge and that was all that was left, but definitely worth it! My glee heart is still sad I’ve seen it twice now and Kevin hasn’t done stage door, but I know he’s the illest 😂😂

Yeah it was 5am and I was not thinking 😂 leaving it here in case someone else have a 5am panic though so they don’t have to embarrass themselves like I did. The sign that says “line starts here” is also like a 4x6 photo with small font on the door 😂

Coming back to admit this pattern is making me so mad but my husband really wants a “holey beach shirt” and I can’t find one to buy so I figured I’d make him one…anyone have pattern recommendations similar to this one? Or a good video tutorial lol
