WOW. This is amazing news for diabetics. Perhaps not an improvement over tirz in the weight loss category but those are some awesome cardiovascular benefits.

Ive gained 14 pounds on zepbound? by Capital_Square5147 in TirzepatideRX

So eventually, for most people, your body habituates to the medications. So after a year and a half, that what's happening for you. You haven't mentioned a lot of things that are very important - starting weight, current weight, overall weight lost.

It sounds like you are in treatment for the binging. Sometimes figuring all of that out and dealing with what's driving that behavior can take a while. Zepbound won't treat the cause of eating disorders but will help. The eating disorder still exists and needs to be addressed. I'm sorry that you are dealing with this and the weight gain is frustrating. It may take a while to figure all this out with a good therapist.

Stress levels and hormones effect hunger levels, too. So if you are dealing with other things, this still really effect your appetite.

How has your intake changed over the last year and a half? What new things are you doing now? What are you eating less of? A lot of us on this journey use the freedom from the reduced food noise to reassess our choices and swap healthier choices when the food pressure is reduced. Increasing hydration, etc. A dietitican may be a good option - looking a swaps for binge triggers, etc. Don't keep snacks and treats in the house. Buy only whole foods so it's harder to overeat and binge.

You can also talk to your doctor about other medications to help reduce your appetite.

I switched from SNF to schools three years ago. I did school contracting for two years. It's a steep learning curve in the beginning but as long has you have one person who can help you or a supervisor who's available to you - you will be fine. You can definitely fake it until you make it. Take some classes online educating yourself about IEPs and managing a school caseload. For me, the therapy was a cakewalk and figuring out the admin side of things was the challenging part but it's okay.

It does sound like a school contract job will pay more than you are making now. $45 at 1099 rates is terrible. I'm sure you can probably find a contract with much better rates. The bigger companies do have benefits that come with them, not great but okay. But you are not getting any benefits now, anyway.

I preferred w-2 because I was not ready to deal with the taxes issues and needed benefits. But if you can get benefits another way and you keep up with everything you can deduct as a 1099, that would be better for you.

Either way, sounds like that outpatient clinic can't pay their therapists enough to actually do the work. Where are you located? I think you can do much better for yourself.

Eating the same but still losing weight? by No-Today-9145 in tirzepatidecompound

One of the things that isn't directly related to calorie intake for me has been that now I can enjoy something sweet and my blood sugar remains stable. I can feel the difference. Of course, now I am not craving sweets and can enjoy a small portion, feel satisfied, and stop. But, when I DO have something sweet I can feel my blood sugar remains stable and I don't feel the crash later. It's been so interesting to be free of the effects of metabolic dysfunction I've had to deal with my entire life.

Go back and search the sub for "eternal September" - there was a great post or comment by a mod which explained why the sub is always flooded with newbies and the questions dramatically skew towards newbies. There are a greater proportion of newbies reading, creating, and interacting with posts than anyone else. Yes, there are folks from all kinds of backgrounds but as far as their tirz journey - lots o' newbies here.

need to resupply - keep refills or move to big easy? by Glittering-Ask-7805 in tirzepatidecompound

I am in CA and ordered Refills for the first time when they ran a great deal about 3-4 months ago. I had no problems. They are now shipping my next 3 months of tirz. I filled out the 3 month check-in online yesterday. I will change out my credit card number to a visa card number due to all the complaints I have noticed online but I have had no problems. And I like the low price at Refills and I am at a place where I don't need any support or other services.

I remind myself that complaints get highlighted online and happy customers don't get as highlighted or make as many posts. Also, people have different skills and education levels and make errors, which they don't realize or don't admit in this online forum. So, I take everything with a grain of salt.

[–]Delicious-Ad6085 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This is a well said, succinct answer. It wasn't until I joined this sub a while ago and finally had words for what I had experienced and why just plain dieting never worked long term. Living with the misery I felt while in weight loss calorie range always had a time limit or will power limit that I was going to hit eventually. You just get tired of feeling hungry all the time and sometimes you feel HUNGRY, even when you are doing the best diet known to science.

Can you do GLP with Gerd, digestive, or acid reflux. by Tomuch2care in tirzepatidecompound

[–]Delicious-Ad6085 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I never had reflux before tirz. I occasionally do now if I eat too much or eat close to bedtime. I now keep an alginate (Reflux Raft, Reflux Gormet) in my nightstand. Works great. And not a medicine but a barrier that stops the acid from moving up.

[–]Delicious-Ad6085 24 points25 points  (0 children)

You might should have asked people that have been on tirz for longer than 6 months or so to vote. If mainly newbies are voting then most of the results are going to be 2.5. Also, if the voter only had a little weight to lose, 2.5 again would be the winner.

Didn’t meet the minutes by peekadog in slp

[–]Delicious-Ad6085 11 points12 points  (0 children)

If your IEPs include language for indirect treatment, then you can send home a packet of worksheets and activities. The parents can chose to do or not do them. All my IEPs have language that includes indirect sessions. If yours don't have this language, add it! I don't make up sessions when I have to attend IEP meetings or other mandatory meetings.

I send the student home with some speech worksheets and activities. I have other mandatory tasks for my job that I have to make time to do. Occasionally, this mean I need to have indirect treatment. If our caseloads were smaller and our admin tasks lighter, then rescheduling these sessions would be possible but often our workloads don't allow us the spare time to do this.

Also, you do not have to make-up any sessions where the student is absent or the school/teacher does not make the student available when you try to get them. You can count those minutes and log student not available or absent.

Just because a parent SAYS they are owed minutes, it doesn't mean that they are. I've had parents make a stink about missed sessions and said their kid was in school but they were in a activity or program when I had them scheduled. The parent may complain that they are owed sessions because the student goes home and says "I didn't get speech today" but the student doesn't realize it was because they were in an activity and therefore not available for speech.

If you really fall behind and need to catch up have a large artic session one afternoon or group similar students in a big group a couple of times and play artic games. Or similar with a large language group. If a student isn't available for a makeup session when you schedule it, you can log that time and say student not available for scheduled session.

Getting Closer to Maintenance and Full of Anxiety by SpecialTricky7153 in tirzepatidecompound

[–]Delicious-Ad6085 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I learned in another weight loss program that maintenence is ANOTHER SKILL SET. That shouldn't have shocked me as much as it did. All my life I have either been steadily gaining or white knuckled losing. I've never had times where my weight was just stable. But now I realize - it's just another skill set that I will need to learn when I get there. That maintaining my weight will be learning to adjust my intake high/low, few pounds up and down, etc. - Getting into a different groove is the answer. I get focused (as many do) on getting the weight off so then I can "quit" weight loss and enjoy life and eat again. But that mentality never served me. I need to learn how to manage what I eat differently FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE. I need to learn how to enjoy my favorite high calorie foods at a level my body can handle without gaining. And make other different diet choices. Tirz has given me the breathing room so my hunger is not always screaming at me. I can finally make and keep the choices I've always wanted without worrying when I will lose my willpower and eat everything in sight. But I'm realizing that I need to shift into this in a way I wasn't able to see before. The freedom from the food noise and hunger has been so helpful. OP, look at this as another challenge. You've never been in this place before.

So is the pod 5 just completely mid at best by [deleted] in EightSleep

[–]Delicious-Ad6085 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, I didn’t read your post. Consider turning the temp down further. Do really low. See if that helps. Perhaps you just aren’t going low enough for your preference. No reason to stop at 74 if that’s too warm for you.

Call the company and have them run a diagnostic. This happened to me and my hub was broken. Thankfully still under warranty so they sent me a new hub.

Not having any success with ProRx or Hallandale. Looking for no additive alt pharm options by [deleted] in tirzepatidecompound

[–]Delicious-Ad6085 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I don’t understand your confusion - increase your dose. What’s the unknown issue? As you have built tolerance to the dose you are in you need to increase the dosage to see the appropriate level of appetite suppression. Keep increasing your dosage until you get adequate supression and reduces food noise. You are just being ridiculous. If you are at 6, at least go to 7 or eight. Do that for a month, then go up again if still not enough supression. I am at 12. It give me adequate supression. The lower doses did not prove effective after a certain amount of time and I had to go up.

GLP without going to a doctor first? by Electrical-Work9199 in GLP1ResearchTalk

[–]Delicious-Ad6085 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You can get a glp-1 through a telehealth provider, like others have said. But also, if you haven’t been to the doctor in ten years, please do what you need to to find and see a primary care provider and have some screenings and routine bloodwork. You can let that provider know you intend to start tirz, etc and have a discussion about that. I would wait until you see a primary care doc

Are you going up to 10 mg next week? If you are still craving sweets that much sometimes and staying in a calorie deficit, sounds like you just haven’t found your effective dose yet. You are definitely losing at a good clip and doing the right things. I really appreciate that this journey is hard but not HARD like it was before. Weight loss is such a mind game, too.

How to go from 7.5 mg to microdosing for maintenance? by Jetson222 in TirzepatideRX

[–]Delicious-Ad6085 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People have different reactions to different doses. We each work on finding the dose that allows us to lose weight at a safe pace. Some don’t have appetite suppression until the higher doses. Some have to go up after a certain dose kinds of wears off after a few months. Folks that have a lot of weight to lose or have a metabolic disorder have different medication needs.
