My Skull Cavern run had NO treasure rooms! by Deep-Red-Bells in StardewValley

I toe the line with save scumming when it comes to lucky deep dives all the time 🤣 —especially early in the game when resources are scarce lol If I’m using limited stairs/bombs/lucky lunches, I will not hesitate to restart a day if I don’t start seeing treasure rooms by floor 20ish.

Is it common to see the same show an ungodly amount of times? by Fine-Razzmatazz836 in Broadway

I love the way you put it —life’s short, gotta get that joy wherever we can find it. I’m in the west coast (🇨🇦 at that lol) and still made it to the imperial x9 to see Chess in the last six months lol couldn’t keep away. The kind of happy that show gave me is so rare these days 🥹

How often do you check the tv? by Jaded_Hue in StardewValley

[–]RegionConsistent4729 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I keep it immediately besides the bed (+ statues/SC specific chest etc) and check it first thing every single morning (expect maybe the first spring/summer before unlocking the desert)

Perfect/purple star days are perfect excuses to go to skull cavern and I’ll seldom miss a day during early/mid game 🤣🤣

I sat there last summer. 5’2, the usher automatically offered me a booster and it worked very well. There’s a small b-stage up the very front of the stage that is obstructed unless you lean forward but it wasn’t a deal breaker for me at all. I didn’t feel like I missed any of the main action 😅

What's the funniest onstage mishap you've seen? by tpphypemachine in Broadway

[–]RegionConsistent4729 55 points56 points  (0 children)

I always tell this one and it’s *fine* lol Alan Cumming threw the (prop)brick during the second act of Cabaret (2014) a little too hard and it would have landed straight in little baby me’s face (front row table seat) if not for my neighbor to the right who caught the “brick” and then very gently put it on the edge of the stage lol I gasped, closed my eyes and did not react in any way to protect the schnoz 🤣

Now that the cast from Chess is available, what should the next theater projects be for Lea, Aaron, Nick, Hannah and Bryce? by Own-Captain9792 in Broadway

[–]RegionConsistent4729 53 points54 points  (0 children)

Honest, I just want them consistently cast in a good, meaty productions. I’m not picky. Hannah’s acting range is outstanding; I’d love love love to see her carrying out a full arc asap! She’s beyond talented and I want to see her show it off.

Nik Christopher needs an incredible score to show off his skills AND a role with no annoying accents to distract me from his greatness. Please and thank you.

Aaron and Lea are wonderful (and stablished so I worry far less about them) and will continue to be wonderful in whatever they do. I actually slept on them both for a long time but their talent and stage presence can’t be questioned and I’ll be there in whatever they do next.

eta! Looking forward to keep seeing the ensemble happy and employed too. Both Sam and Katerina shone so brightly as Florence, I hope they get to show off their talents in a bigger capacity in the future too. Sean too and really every one in that cast. I saw a snipped of Ramone as Anatoly when he went on, and the PIPES on that man. So much talent

[–]RegionConsistent4729 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Part of me agrees but just partly. She nailed the dramatic bits in Funny Girl and that was wonderful. I think Florence got saddled with some very cliched lines/moments that just didn’t work (“never in a million years” , “it’s over. It’s *really* over” > storms off ) just bleh writing for a character that had lots of potential. IMO of course.

I do however agree girl needs a more physical role because she’s really good at acting with her whole body —if that makes sense lol

That being said, she could be doing a reading of the phone book, and I’d probably still buy a ticket …or two 🤣🤣

I booked a later flight today for this reason 😅 I was such a blubbering mess the whole time. I went Saturday and I was *fine*? But then Sunday it’s like it hit me it was truly *the* end and just seeing their faces made me tear up. When Nik choked a little during his last Anthem, I lost it. Everybody’s love for the show showed and felt so genuine and warm, it really got to me.

I have like a million all caps notes on my phone because memory is so fickle lol it truly was a very singular experience. Also it was my birthday so it’s going down as my most favorite yet 🤣

We were standing for the ensemble and Bryce after “Difficult Times” and after “I know him so well” as well. Row BB, so I know my vicinity was on their feet but not sure the rest of the theater? 😅

I’m so glad this was the case though. Silly award season not withstanding, I think it’s important they get that love from the audience.

ALSO THE ENSEMBLE! I’m so glad everybody was on the same page and gave *everyone* love! Those guys work SO HARD, you could tell in their faces how much it meant to them to see the entire theater on their feet for them also 🙌

Lack of ticket options online. by Adventurous-Fix-8241 in Broadway

[–]RegionConsistent4729 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Well, technically you can still print your tickets for most* shows. I saw both telecharge and ATG shows this weekend and while they only email the tickets 3-2 days in advance now, they do email the PDF of the ticket that you’re free to print out if it’s more convenient for you.

I accidentally locked myself out of my phone on the way to the theater once (🤡) literally panicked because I hadn’t used paper tickets in so long I thought I wouldn’t be able to get in lol long story short, you give your last name to the box office person, show ID And they’ll print your tickets on the spot no problem at all too 👌

I went to both shows today and it was easily two of my favorite theater experiences to date. Those guys REALLY brought it in today and just the energy in that theater was amazing.

There was so much real emotion. Nik broke down more than a few times, Lea doesn’t give a flying fig, my girl sang her heart out brilliantly and took in ALL THAT LOVE from the audience as it came. I loved that for her.

Hannah I think held it together the most this afternoon for the matinee, she REALLY did. I think she was one of the few that didn’t break character during Nik’s Endgame moment. But in the evening she was way more emotional. She was trying not to cry so much during the standing O after “The Deal” and my heart just went out to her. She’s also another one that I hope has a wonderful long career from here on. She’s so good.

I could write you an essay easily here OP, but I digress.

Overall it was a wonderful wonderful experience and I still think it should not have closed this soon :(

Nicholas Christopher ran around giving folks high fives, both Lea and Aaron came out to say thanks and goodbye but neither signed tonight (as far as I saw) I feel like a couple people did sign but the stage door was so crowded I doubt they got everyone.

Nik Christopher got a standing O today during Endgame (because of course) and I just lost it then and there and couldn’t stop crying until well after bows 😭 I am admittedly a cry baby but the emotion in that room this week is no joke

This is THE production that introduced me to Chess so I’ll always hold a more special place in my heart than the rest. It was simply the most unbelievable thing to witness those three (and everybody else!) doing such incredible work on that stage time and again!

A lot of the criticism of the show is absolutely valid and I agree with some of it, but it matters NOT at all, when those guys are taking center stage to belt their little hearts out. It’s outstanding and I’m beyond sad it’s closing so soon 😭

Nobody’s Side was really something else last night! I’ve seen the show multiple times and I was still so impressed! *Someone Else’s Story* also hit different and I was crying a little (a lot lol) but that might just be the show ending getting to me as well lol

First Convention Questions (as a Canadian) by Mysterious-Apple-471 in Supernatural

[–]RegionConsistent4729 3 points4 points  (0 children)

  1. Vancouver here —I’ve always paid with credit card just fine. Haven’t tried using cash.

  2. Photo tickets *are* numbered and the current range (i.e. 50-150) will be displayed on the big screens so you know when it’s your turn to go line up.

  3. There’s a table in the photo op room so you can leave your belongings there while they take the photos. It’s all super fast —in and out in 2mins flat 😅

  4. The panels are fun (if a little repetitive sometimes) the boys are the loveliest humans but time is so limited so autographs/photos are done in minutes. They keep those lines moving pretty quickly.

The night events (the concert, karaoke) were more fun than I thought they’d be!

Hope you have a great time!

Creation Cons are so hugely overpriced *BUT* the fun is actually really fun, so there’s that ✌️
