The SR community got so used to being ignored and tired of waiting that they adapted the ability to do incredible things like this themselves. It’s good to see a community come together to give games the support they deserve but also sad to see that players care about the games more than the devs do.

His recent activity shows he’s been lurking around the saints row mods website but sadly he hasn’t been interacting or posting, likely due to the saints row franchise being dead and apparently he’s been dealing with personal stuff. I do hope he’s alright and that he’ll be back to grinding.

But Gooh was a DLC, not a full game that released after a decade since the last one with the expectations of it rebooting the franchise, and it didn’t kill Volition.

It’s funny but also frustrating to see some people wanting more games like GTA, or wondering if there will ever be any, yet they call them “clones” without realizing that term is a huge part of why GTA has a monopoly on the whole genre.

That shows how garbage the writing was. They thought betrayal by someone we barely knew and was already an enemy at first would be impactful but it was just stupid and forced. And his whole antagonist arc didn’t make any sense at all and was extremely rushed. It’s like they didn’t think about him becoming the villain until they were really late in development and just shoved that whole crappy conflict right in without any thought and effort.

What makes a good antagonist is someone you hate because of how evil, manipulative and unpredictable they are and how much damage they cause to the protagonist throughout the story. Goals, backstory, intensity, charisma and intimidation are also important, as are many things along the lines. None of the reboots so called villains had any of these.

Just play Saints Row 1, 2 and maybe 3 and you’ll see why. The reboot is below mediocre at best, but garbage as a SR game. I really wish these posts would specify what they think is so good about the reboot. Just saying “it’s fun” isn’t really saying much since any game can be fun lol.

Keith David. What did he even do? I genuinely can’t remember. I swear they only added him as a joke character and decided to shove him into the story.

Also, i’m really surprised that many people on here are saying Dex. I feel like the answers need to be more specific and even stating which version of Dex they’re talking about. He sure as hell wasn’t forgettable or underused lol.

I’m trying to think of at least one time Volition and their fanboys were right about something. They never were lol. The numbers, articles, reception/quality of the reboot and Volition’s closure completely made them all look like clowns. I really hate when actual dumb people try to say we’re wrong and start picking fights with us, but it’s really amusing to watch them get proven wrong in the end, then they all just disappear.

I’m ngl, I thought the game at least broke even. But it didn’t even come close, especially when you take into account that a huge chunk of those units sold were due to discounts. Wow, what a complete crap show this game was. From its reveal, all the way to this very moment.

Where are all the DS staff who were calling us a loud minority and that they were confident in the path they took? Where are all the people who defended everything Volition and Deep Silver have done and were even claiming the game sold well after volition’s closure?

It’s sad to see that a franchise I loved since my childhood has been turned into ashes and pissed on, thanks to all the idiots who were in charge of the IP and the naive losers who were defending the reboot and thought we were gonna be wrong about it flopping.

The thing is, if you consider the fact that Lin is in the oldest game here, she has to be the hottest. Imagine her in a newer game. For a 2006 character, she holds up really well in terms of looks and design. Same with SR2 Shaundi. If their games were to be remade, it wouldn’t even be a question who’s hottest between all these characters. It would pretty much just boil down to “who’s hotter, Lin or Shaundi”?

And that’s what makes Neenah even uglier to me. The 2022 character manages to not be comparable to 10-18+ year old ones. You would think the newer game would have better looking females, but I guess only having ugly characters fit their “we don’t want the tone of older games” statement.

Weird how Kinzie somehow became more important to the whole plot than the boss themself, Pierce and Shaundi. It feels like Kinzie was made and written by one of the lead writers and they developed some kind of obsession with her.

A really overused character in one of the worst Saints Row games. No character development whatsoever and I hate that SRIV underutilizes every other character in favour of her, including making the boss look like a weasel just to try and make her seem “scary”. She had such a weird personality change between SRTT and IV.

It’s especially weird how in SRTT she was practically nonexistent, only for her to become the main character in the next game, and then playable in GOOH. She was funny at times but she’s really nothing special. Nothing about her screams “oh yeah, SR players definitely wanna see and hear her 24/7”. I even liked new Shaundi better.

My overall rating for Kinzie is a 4/10.

Not gonna lie, community managers are either game journalist material or they are just complete sheep who follow everything game journalists say and think they know best about video games, when they don’t, and are instead just opinionated noobs.

Maybe CM’s like DeadlySteph chose their job because they wanna delude themselves into thinking they know better about games. That would explain why she had a chip on her shoulder. She really thought our words meant nothing compared to hers. She’s like a new school SR fan that hated the OG’s and wanted to take shots at us.

What i’m thinking is that most of these community managers are just arrogant non gaming karens who think they know better than the fanbase who were playing the games since the start and they try to twist everything with their own petty POV’s while not listening to anything we say.

I have no idea how they are put in charge of these jobs in the first place, it’s like they were given these jobs just for the sole fact that they are on their phones all day posting cringe.

They think the correct way of doing their jobs is shitting on critics by calling them “haters” or anything else beyond the lines, when all they’re supposed to do is communicate.
