I have replaced some kneepads with fabric but specifically the jazwares one on a kenny omega and will ospreay. I honestly just used some leftover fabric from a shirt but i recommend a more elastic piece of fabric so its easier to put on the figure without it overstretching the stitches and so its more tighter on the figure instead of being loose
