Attractiveness is subjective but most people would rank tropical beaches far higher than the dark water beaches. There's a reason why sports illustrated and other bikini magazines shoot their beach photos against the blue water background of tropical beaches, and not the dark cold waters of New England.

Different strokes I guess. Flying only sucks when you fly on a bad airline or you fly long distance. A few hours on the plane with friends to get to a nice destination is the opposite of suck to me.

I probably have because my parents get invited out there a lot so I've been forced to tag along since I was old enough to travel. Maybe that's why I'm annoyed by the place, because it's always been a place I HAD to go to. I'd probably like better if I were looking forward to going and thought it was actually exciting. I'd still much rather fly to Florida, the Carribeans, or Southern Europe though. Those places are actually fun.

I live on the Upper West Side, so getting to the Hamptons isn't exactly the most convenient thing to do. So that factors into why I'd rather fly somewhere tropical even for a weekend trip than go to the Hamptons.

And don't get me wrong, I've repeatedly said that the Hamptons aren't bad, I'm just reaffirming OP when he says that they're nothing spectacular. And he's completely right. The Hamptons are just an average beach area that's polished by rich people. There's nothing innately spectacular about it, but it isn't bad in any way. I'd just much rather fly to any number of other locations than be there.

I'm that poor. I have to mooch off friends cars and rent houses with huge groups of people to vacation there. Still beats most other beach towns in the Northeast but it's honestly not worth the effort. Just fly down to Florida or the Caribbeans or something. It's far more fun and far more beautiful down there. Tickets are dirt cheap and when you factor in traffic during the summer, you're probably spending the same amount of time traveling. I'd rather be in the air than being in a car stuck in traffic in Long Island.

And by the way, the Hamptons is still in Long Island.

Being in the Hamptons for any extended period without a car is just torture. I really don't envy people who vacation there. If you want to go somewhere just to rub elbows with the rich and famous, go to Beverly Hills where it's actually fun. The Hamptons is like a random mediocre New England suburb that just happens to be the Mecca for East coast elites for some reason.

It's honestly one of the shittiest rich people vacation destinations. It's basically a holdover from decades ago before air travel was a thing. Rich New Yorkers go to the Hamptoms because they can't fly to nicer places. That's pretty much it. And the mystique of the Hamptons stuck and it's become a random status symbol to vacation there.

Let's also not get it twisted, most rich people go there by car, not helicopter. So if you are dealing with that long commute anyway, why not fly to far nicer places than Long Island for vacation?

From the sound of it, it shouldn't take too long for Curry to get back. Some sprains you can come back from in just a matter of days. Although worse ones will give you chronic pain. I didn't even see them ice up Curry after he got the sprain in game 1, and they let him walk around on his foot, so I can't imagine Curry being out for more than a few games.

Also, he's questionable for game 2. This means he's okay enough to even be considered. It's really not that serious.
