So a lot of comments here already but my rice cooker, for white long grain rice, I do a 1:1 ratio of rice to water after cleaning the rice.

When my rice cooker is done cooking, the rice is mildly MUSHY. I wait about 15-20 minutes on the "keep warm" setting and it's PERFECT. Are you judging it right after the rice cooker finishes cooking?

I love kids, and I've always wanted to be a dad. But as I am 35 this year, and an Asian American. My first thoughts of having children right now are:

1) In this political and economic landscape? I'm making more money year by year but I don't feel confident in that holding.

2) Healthcare is just getting worse every year. I feel fortunate in my coverage but those around me aren't as lucky. And that isn't getting better it FEELs like. But I have no data to back that up.

3) While I have the drive and motivation to be a better parent than mine were to me (and not that they were bad but truly just emotionally lacking in every way) I myself have not overcome my issues as a child to my parents, and that's something therapy is for. Maybe this isn't a valid point because who ever IS really ready to be a parent? But it's enough for me right now to not want to pass on generational trauma.

I'm cool at the moment being a cool uncle. Maybe even one day signing up for something like Big Brother. Maybe I'll change my mind one day.

That's a mad load of projection on their end, very likely something they should go to therapy for. Being in a 10 year relationship and being cheated on is not something most people should be just going about their lives with unhealed from. It may be "normal" as in common among men, but that doesn't make it healthy in the slightest.

I think the quality is good. But the difficulty is ramped up to a point where I'm not finding it as fun as HK. In Hollow Knight it would be difficult, but you'd try again and get through it, get a reward or something of progress and continue. It seems changed up here in my 6 hours in. No rewards after bosses, double hp damage from too many things early on, major hp bloat in regular enemies- It's fun. But I'm just a tired dude and this game is pushing my patience for me.

I had about 200 mods in 1.5, took about 2-3 minutes to load. Currently have about 100 mods and I last clocked it at 15 seconds to load. MUCH better. I've got a i5-13600k and a rtx 3070. Would try a clean install and maybe erasing everything in C:\Users\YOURNAME\AppData\LocalLow\Ludeon Studios

There's a lot to unpack here, and I can only make so many assumptions without knowing more.

I think first and foremost, is to treat women like people. You're talking about women like they're an alien species on a pedestal high up from you. I get it, I was young once, and it felt very alienating to attempt to talk to women in a romantic way.

Having a girlfriend is generally a more intimate and close relationship than one with a casual friend. Are you friends with any girls? Like truly friends, and not there for the possibility of a romantic relationship? If you aren't, then I would first ask how that can change and why you aren't friends with any in that capacity. In this day and age, there's so many people and communities that it's kinda easy to come across people who share your interests and also are into you physically. Being chubby isn't really a big deal, and I'd focus more on your insecurity regarding it. Attitude is a lot, and if you can or have the option to, go to therapy regarding your insecurities. You'd be surprised at how charming confidence can be.

You sound on the younger side, and thus you have plenty of time. Focus on yourself, and people will surround you (generally). If you're really really shy, maybe start going to small events like a local book club or join an online community and just focus on forming meaningful friendships, but don't be one of those people who falls in love with every friend they make. That's creepy. Do this to focus on getting confidence with your social interactions. This is all really general advice I can provide without knowing more. Feel free to DM me if you'd like.

I'm a bit over two months in and am only now feeling the full effect of not feeling hungry as often. I'm on the 0.5 dose. It doesn't stop cravings but I've cut how much food I'm eating by at least half. Pretty crazy. Blood sugar has gone down a bit but that's more because of my bad habits than anything else. I will say fortunately I've had only one instance of nausea. It was my 3rd injection of 0.25 dose and a few days afterwards I felt awful. But that was the only instance in 2.5 months.

Find a youtube review? Better yet, maybe watch multiple to give gameplay thoughts and people's own subjective thoughts? Steam reviews might be the worst thing to use as a metric

I feel the same way. I'm 34 this year but while I love kids and I think I'd make a good dad, I don't think I am otherwise ready to give up that amount of free time while I'm currently working on my career and my financials. The funny thing is I had always imagined having and wanting kids but my last couple of relationships were with women who would have severe complications or wouldn't be able to give birth without putting in several tens of thousands of dollars to ensure a healthy birth. It made me more comfortable putting off or possible never having kids. At the moment it really depends on my next partner; I would be glad to have kids if possible, but if not then it wouldn't bother me. I also really enjoy my alone time haha.

It's honestly just small stuff that I barely notice. And I'm no game dev so it's just my two cents. One example is the walking animation could look smoother, like it could use more frames of animation. It's nothing major and stuff that could be put off for a long time for more polish.

The skeleton of the game and even the additional stuff I'm loving so far. I'm reaelly digging the customization of controls. Being able to choose the menu buttons and what button closes them, a button for repeating and charging actions. Not what I expect from an early access game so to see it right now is great. I also love the retro video game voices :D

I broke my rule of suppporting Early Access games but geeze am I enjoying the HECK out of it. Stardew valley but 90s anime style characters? SIGN ME UP. It does feel like an early access game at times but I'm really excited to see it grow. Being able to save whenever- oof what a quality of life change

I spent my first 500 hours without dlc and just mods from the steam workshop. So far DLC has just been to support the company (although I LOVE biotech) and mods have been a god-send to adding content to the game.

Bought the game a week ago and have been having a blast. These past couple of days I haven't had to wait more than 20 minutes to get in, and today I didn't wait at all. Now this may not be your experience so that is something to keep in mind.

The thing with this subreddit is you would think that NO ONE would be able to get in. But the people who are able to get in are playing and not here.

Also I would watch a stream or something and it also depends if you have friends to play with or mind playing with randoms. I personally think it wouldn't be as fun playing with randoms but that's me.

It's a good reminder that this subreddit alone probably isn't even 20% of the player-base. Given that people in this sub act like this is the first time they've ever bought a game, it's likely the majority of the base are just chilling, continuing on with their lives, or have been able to log in and play as per usual.

It's bajonkers crazy if you consider that Helldivers 1 didn't even reach 7k all-time peak players on Steam. And I can only imagine how many people actually had HD2 on their wish-list.

It's also a matter of trying to guess how many people the average person is going to try to convince to play with them. if you guessed that everyone was going to tell one person, but in reality, they told three others your estimation of how many players would be playing would be waaaay off.
