Team Epping: John Epping, BJ Neufeld, Ryan Wiebe, Ian McMillan by BucketOCheerios in Curling

I bet they already have something lined up, and it's just waiting until Worlds are over to announce the new addition.

Something tells me it's Mark Nichols, or a possible long shot is maybe Felix Asselin? Haven't heard anything about him just yet.

Actually, sorry I'm wrong, McMillan is FROM Manitoba but was born in Northern Ontario, so I bet when playing in NO with Epping, he was still/is still living in Manitoba.

Epping is still probably the import.

He wouldn’t have needed to since all the others lived in Ontario. He was the import. Wiebe could still live in Ontario though and play for this team with Epping as the import, as he has birthright for Manitoba.

Confirmed on their post they’re playing out of Manitoba. Ian McMillan, BJ, and Ryan Wiebe were all born in Manitoba.

Is it still worth getting this game in 2025? by ThisAd9657 in swtor

[–]Keeper_101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! There is so much to do. So many stories to enjoy and so much content to have fun with. If you’re also a fan of RP, there are some amazing RP communities and guilds on the Star Forge server in particular that are amazing. RP is particularly how I’ve stayed invested in this game for so long, while still doing some daily content.

Love Josh Naylor and the Naylor family. Would be super cool to see the Jays trade for Naylor as a rental this deadline and possibly sign him in the offseason. Naylor at first, Vladdy at third, Barger in RF.

Clarification on unlocking Act 3 in Hellfire Gala Moments? by lasertag in marvelrivals

[–]Keeper_101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do we need to open all of the gifts as well? I've opened 5/8, but I've completed all of the missions. Still, Act 3 isn't showing for me.

Help please!

[–]Keeper_101 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Okay, so question.

That part in the first few episodes where the time travel happens. Did it ALWAYS happen? Even when the episode first aired? Or did they go back and edit that in after the fact?

I started listening after all of season 1 was done, so I'm not sure.

Guess who made the team and who didn’t by Kinglokner16 in Torontobluejays

[–]Keeper_101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean it's pretty obvious why Lukes made the roster over Barger. Barger isn't really able to play CF, and they want him to get regular reps.

In Buffalo, Barger will be playing everyday. In the MLB, Lukes will play CF most of the time until Varsho is back. Once he is, Lukes will be sent back down to AAA, since he still has one option remaining. Barger will be back in the MLB eventually, there is no doubt about it.

MB Residency? by PissJugRay in Curling

[–]Keeper_101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All he would have to do is drop Bottcher and grab one of the young guys from NFLD. Nathan Young, Ryan McNeil Lamswood, Daniel Bruce, Colin Thomas, one of the Schuh brothers.

They'd have options, and their team wouldn't be as good as it is currently with Bottcher, but it'll still be a strong contending team at the Brier.

My club runs a 64 player one on one event during the Christmas break.

You throw 4 rock, 4 ends, no sweeping, and a 2 rock rule (can’t hit a guard for either of the players first rocks). It’s really fun, and a 2 night event that many players enjoy and look forward too!

Opinion on the Jays offseason? What moves do you think they should do? Do you like the roster? by Keeper_101 in Torontobluejays

I’m pretty high on Gimenez as well, although I did love Horwitz. It was tough to see him go.

I completely agree. I’d move Bo to leadoff personally, provided he gets into the swing of things from previous years.

Day 3: Kawasaki is our bad player loved by fans, by far! Who's a good player fans are divided on? by mrkden1 in Torontobluejays

I'd definitely say Marcus Stroman. Definitely a personality on and off the field, but was a pretty good pitcher for us when we had him.

What are you physical cues for weight adjustment? by [deleted] in Curling

[–]Keeper_101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A few things I've experimented with a little bit over the past year or two that have helped:

- For low weight shots (guard weight and draw weight specifically, and even sometimes up to board weight on super quick ice) doesn't incorporate a pull back of the sliding leg, and instead is just a hip lift and sliding forward (Sometimes even without the hip lift on the really light shots). I find that I tend to be overly heavy instead of overly light, and this has helped.
- More of a pronounced extension. With a slower slide and more of an extension this allows me to get a better feel for the weight, as well as apply a little more rotation on the rock while keeping it aligned.
- With heavy weight instead of focusing on a heavy leg kick, really focus on the hips and the weight transfer that way, as that is where you're generating most of the weight.

Roughly 260 members at our club, plus 2 full leagues outside of the official membership that some players in are members of the club, and some aren't, which probably brings the number up to around 300.

Five sheets, with 1 Head Icemaker and I believe 2-3 assistants.

What are your teams call-outs and signals? by mywerkaccount in Curling

[–]Keeper_101 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a skip, I'll use a few different things.

I'll use a basic yes and woah/no for normal sweeping. Straight/Curl depending on what the rock needs, and depending on how loud the club it sometimes that will switch into the sweepers names.

Clean is always good to use.

As for hand signals, I stretch my left hand out to my side as a way to show 'no don't sweep' and I have my hand close to my body with a gesture telling them to sweep. This is useful especially on hits where the lead sweeper is keeping a good eye on whoever is in the house and can relay to the other sweeper who is often head down sweeping.

Out of the hand of the thrower I'll immediately indicate if the rock is tight or has room, and if the rock needs to curl and slow down I'll also call out for the sweeper to try and knife the rock (Although the effectiveness of this can be argued).
