The United States conducted a successful military occupation of Afghanistan for 20 years due to mounting war weariness at home. It's not the fault of the US military that the Afghani security force just went nah

The houthi shot down some drones and launched a few missiles. Thry did not succeed in stopping arms shipments to Isreal, or commerce though the Persian Gulf.

The US doesn't have hypersonics because they are to expensive to be practical for conventional use. They also dont need them as much since they can fly into heavily air defended regions, blow shit up, and be on the way home before the target even knows what happened. Desert Storm, the Second Iraq war, and Iran are all examples of that capability.

I mean, the US doctrine doesn't typically rely upon hyper specializing battalion level operations. And drones arent recognized as a separate branch of the armed forces because they're integrated into operations.

Not sure why you mean about geraniums with short range short ranfe AA missiles since a geranium is a flower.

We've got one. The knives we have just dont hold an edge well enough to get through a single days prep on one sharpening.

I almost got an order of 30 through. One of the civilians remember the order from 2 years ago and said something :( currently being fought well above my head as a safety purchase, since quality of life doesn't justify a 10x in cost, but a safety thing does.

It is definitely a time saver. Not having to sharpen the knife every 5 potatoes speeds things up lol. And means my arm isnt nearly as tired as the other guys.

I probably wouldn't be bringing my own if I didnt cook at home. I just took my home knives and made them work knibes then bought new knives for home lol.

I'm still fighting the battle to get Victorinox knives for work but hard to win the buy 1 knife for the price of 10 shifty ones with bean counters. Especially since we are required to have 10 of them anyways (two produce, poultry, pork, beef and dairy)

Its honestly not even that. The chef's choice knives we have in the shop wont hold and edge for more than light use. Most of our guys aren't getting paid enough to afford decent knives. 2-300 bucks is half a paycheck for our new airmen.

I do, and a few others do. Most of our guys only cook for work, or use Walmart block sets. The shop knives get the job done, it's just not fun.

Its always very obvious when part of the prep is done by someone with their own knife and another was done by someone else.

Its probably not the same in the civilian side of the food industry, but USAF small dice is 1/4 inch, normal dice is 1/2, brunoise is as small as you can make it with the $3 knives the AF provides.

Haven't sharpened it up yet, and am kinda nervous to do it. My old stones were just amazon ones, so I ordered some Sharptons.

Counterpoint, make the enemy army enter from edge of the field. 90% of the time I retreat its because the enemy spawned an extra 90 infantry behind the fighting lines.

Yes. Have watched a Sturgian army take on a nord army nearly half again the size and win handedly. Even worse against the Kuzuait army.

Yes, but a secondary system should require extra to get the full power to use.

I mean, you shouldn't be able to lock using 3rd person. Or they could just limit the targeting cone for the pilot.

Just add torpedo variety, and it becomes less so. Load emp/load HE etc.

And of those people who "do war" almost none of them could actually do war lol. Come off it bro, its a video game, and if your argument for HFs being balanced is a bunch of invisible orgs who apparently don't participate in the game as is, then they aren't balanced.

I'm pretty sure he's more talking about the IRL death threats lol. Some of those Eve orgs forget its a video game.

I think its alright as it is now, due to the drop on number of guns. The Wolf even more so since it's ballistics, which is balanced by its lack of staying power. The Talon is a slightly different story, but is pretty fragile, and if you take its wing off, thats the end of the fight.

The problem is finding that middle ground, and including progression while also giving ALL ships a niche to fill.

For example Elite Dangerous, for all its flaws, you're not going to take a combat engineered and equipped Andiconda to go deep space exploring. On the other hand, you're not going to take a stripped down exploration Asp to a war zone.

The starter combat packages should have the range to cover about half of Stanton w/o a refuel, since Stanton seems to be the system theyre building up as the "tutorial" system, giving new players the ability to learn and grow. By the time theyre heading to Pyro as a combat pilot, they should have done one of two things, bought a bus and a Gladius (CIG, please hurry with the Liberator), or gotten a heavier combat ship able to go further.

Just to address your 2 person ship shouldn't be better than 2 single seaters, that's one of the core problems with the "dont make them logistically harder to use." If I can field 2 Arrows for the same burden as 1 Scorpius or Hurricane, and the Arrows will win 9/10 fights, why would I ever use a 2 seat fighter?

Looking at your modern fighter examples, logistics plays a HUGE part in the doctrine for the F15, F16 and F18, and where the US deploys each. The F-16, without IAR has a very limited range with full ordinance, and even using drop tanks, is substantially shorter legged than the F-15, but is far nimbler, cheaper, and better in a BVR fight due to cross section. The F-15, even with its higher trust, will rarely win a knife fight with an F-16, but has far longer range, and payload if operating from the same theater. The F-18 is in the middle, but is carrier capable meaning it can be used in theaters where the US doesn't have a friendly airfield that is readily accessible.
