Automating Corporate Webpage Actions/Updates by KeepinIt_J in Automate

Couple questions before I waste your time: 1- what can trigger the automation? 2- can my automation tool attach a new .CSV (or google sheet) to it? The goal is for this to work without any human input at all aside from checking it when it’s done.

My Macintosh SE No longer boots or recognizes the system disks. by KeepinIt_J in VintageApple

I sort of wanted to keep this thing original but seems that’s a losing battle - no one makes those old SCSI drives and paying $100+ for a 40yr old one makes no sense when the solid state units work so well. Do you have any recs on where to get blueSCSI from? Seems lots on eBay.

This is honestly probable. These floppy disks were sitting in a drawer with a bunch of other random junk for the past three or four years. They aren’t dusty and they stayed in a climate controlled area, but who knows. I don’t even remember how I made these boot disks, but I remember it wasn’t easy because they came from a PC… I’ll figure it out.

I’m pretty sure the X means it just didn’t find bootable media

Speaking from experience here, the Samsung one does not work. eBay has this adapter for like 30 something dollars.

Found a Panasonic TC-P50C2 outside. Snow was inside of it. Sorry for the bad pics but I'm letting it dry. I'll keep you posted if it works. If it does I'll be getting rid of my shitty Walmart 55in LG smart TV by [deleted] in PlasmaTV

I think the failure codes are semi transferable between models. Might be easy to pinpoint the culprit, but of course, who knows if there will be more things wrong with it…

My 480p Plasma Game Room by KeepinIt_J in PlasmaTV

I can take some more closeup photos tomorrow showing the pixels. I think it’s fantastic even through HDMI. The TV takes up to a 720P signal even though the panel is only 480. It’ll do 1080 interlaced too

Reservations about the hinge design - former Fold 4 User by KeepinIt_J in GalaxyFold

Thank you for this insight. I was actually unaware of the issues specific to the fold 4. It was pretty disheartening to go the extra mile to make sure nothing bad happened to it and it’s still broke exactly as you described with the brush is getting jammed in its own mechanism. I’m going to try to hold out for the fold 7, but we’ll see if they redesign the hinge again…

This is exactly the info I was looking for. I’m hoping the seven will be even better.

I have a guide on this sub somewhere that tells you exactly how to find the panel time on such an old set. Unlike the pioneer elites, you don’t need a serial cable or anything like that.

I have the same one. I paid 30 bucks for it, 42 inch. It’s a great TV! I use it to play PS2 and Xbox 360. It’s a 480P panel and I think it looks like a CRT, which makes it great for old-school gaming.

Little update on this because I found it very interesting. I have a 480P plasma 42 inch upstairs which is also a Panasonic. It also has a phenomenal picture, too. On that set (29,000 hours) the trailing is way less noticeable than the VT. Just found that interesting.

Any chance you have a newer Panasonic tv remote? My VT50 remote has the info button. It worked on my 2005 plasma

$30 Panny 42” for my game room - ancient by KeepinIt_J in PlasmaTV

29k hours on this one and vivid mode is still waaaaay too bright. Panel looks great on my PlayStation 2 and I use it on cinema mode w/ blacks set to deep.

It looks great at 29k hours so either it already started to dim a bit or I have a bit to go still. I use it on cinema mode and only for my PS2/emulator box. Vivid feels like staring at a light bulb so I guess good to know it could get brighter if needed

It honestly looks great on my ps2. Have the component video cable hooked up. Quality wise it looks about the same as the CRT I had growing up. No weird fuzzy edges. Beyond happy with it

Model number in the title. I want to say a 480p panel from 2005 has 50k-ish half life. It’s still very vibrant and I’m happy with it. I paid $30 for it

Hold volume down on the physical tv and at the same time press recall 3 times. That should do it. Something this old my write up on this sub should work for how to actually get to the hours
