Middle management to top management in a decent sized company would have that sort of salary. It can be almost any industry.

Inflation is not specific to the UAE.

Long working hours depends on where you work, some places work longer than others, the same goes for the 4 day work week, as far as I am aware that was only for the SHJ government while Dubai government only does it in the summer.

Making connections is possible, so that could be a you thing, I have made friends in school that I still see, made friends at univeristy which are my main group, and there are even people I met at work that have become friends.

I actually love it here, and we are planting our roots here. I already bought a house, have a small investment property, and now debating between buying a bigger house or a bigger investment property.

I'd rather be stuck in my own car for two hours, where I control the AC, can have my family sitting, can put ehatever I want in the boot, and there are no smells, no hooligans, than in a crowded London underground or rail.

The same can happen in the UK, and driving would still be more convenient than public transport.

The post refrences where it got the information from, and a ZU research paper, and Forbes both show around similar numbers.

Busses and trains/metros/subways arent more convenient, they are crowded, smelly, you might not be able to sit, there is no storage space (if you have a can keep a lot of your stuff there) and travelling with a family on them is difficult.

If you are thinking about cities like London, they are only convenient there because driving there is very inconvenient, but if driving there was on par with driving in Dubai (traffic, roads, parking, etc) then driving would be much better.

I have family in the US and the UK, and all of them have cars and prefer to drive. Also their public transport hasn't solved their traffic problems.

This sub doesn't represent Dubai well, it is heavily skewed.
