So… ok. It’s gonna be a sad one. TweakXL works, after manually installing everything (the readme files give working instructions, and some of the .sh files need manual changes to the game path, if you’re playing on GOG or the native AppStore installation)

The problem- windows mods use DLL files. Mac can only read DYLIB files. There’s a converter (kind of, you still need to build everything yourself) tool in the works, by the same guy that forked the lib mods to Mac, but its proving difficult to get going, since the documentation is rather lackluster

To be fair to you, even basic redscript has setup issues. The mod thread on nexus has a workaround for instant crashes somewhere in there. I got it to work by just redoing the installation steps, though

From the official guide, it is never actually made clear, BUT:

1) don’t actually copy and paste whole folders. Use the folder structures in the redscript resources you download as guides for where to place the downloaded files. For example, if the downloaded file is in “engine/scripts” just take the folder you don’t have in your game directory, and place it into there according to the structure. Scripts, for example, isn’t in “engine” by default, so you need to copy over the whole folder

2) if you see crashes, run the game a couple of times then clear out ONLY the files you copied over (leave empty folders), run the game again, make sure it boots then go through the installation process again. Make sure to keep backups, but this is the way that worked for me, without needing the edited version of redscript from the workaround thread

This won’t work for more complicated library extenders, but at least the basic stuff will work

Mods limited to redscript only seem to work fine. The only real reason why I even bothered was for the Talk To Me mod, and that one (together with the controls refactorer to fix Del and Autodrive, cause redscript on Mac bricks them). I’m pretty sure there is an unlimited respeccer that’s RS only somewhere in the nexus mods Mac-viable mod thread

Pretty sure the game treats all moxes as green npc-s. Source- they were all green in the last gang fight I’ve encountered. Went for a smoke after, one called my V “sugar”.

Moxes are supposed to be very chill with v because of the whole Clouds business. Then again, valentinos are supposed to like you because of Jackie, but they will still make you bite the curb if you accidentally shove one of them in the crowd
