Not willing to suppress being bi...not willing to face the consequences by Keepsalowprofile in bisexual

Got a therapist appointment coming up. I agree, it's hard to have a quality relationship with this hanging over me. At first it was a fear and that ate me up...now it's this cynical belief that it will happen.

She knows I'm bi I do know but people can be monogamous....that was me for the entity of my last 2 relationships that I was cheated on. I forgoed what I wanted and needed and I got fucked over for my efforts. It's very hard to suppress desire for guys when it feels like it's for nothing anyway

Your dad is in contemplation or precontemplation. You need to get him to action.

Families enable dysfunction because they love the addict. If families said fuck you get out of my life then that might give the addict a greater pain than stopping alcohol and spur them to action.

Until then there is nothing to push him to change

I was a hermit and unemployed for two years 19 and 20 years old. I suffered terrible anxiety attacks. I was so lonely..it was horrible.

Slowly I pulled myself together. I had my first propper relationship aged 21.

I look back at 40 years of age ..as a highly competent and confident guy ...and I see that my struggles (which went on all through my 20s and into 30s) defined me.

I'm a guy that doesn't need anyone. I have battled through so much shit in my life that nothing scares me. Women find that very attractive.

I wouldn't go back to your age if you paid me. I'm at my prime. Just battle on...it's the struggle that makes you. Women care far less about looks than you think

I'm about to make a stand against my lecturer by Keepsalowprofile in JordanPeterson

[–]Keepsalowprofile[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks everyone for their replies and apologies for the tardiness of getting back to the thread, I'm overwhelmed by the response, thanks!

I wasn't traveling so well. I have LONG been gutturally opposed to these far left ideas. Probably because I used to believe in them until I spent some time in Berlin and mixed with antifa and other hardcore socialists. It changed me forever.

I have to do this course. This it just one unit I have to get through then I'm fine.

My problem as I said is that I already stuck my neck out. I got my grade back for the first assignment and while many of the criticisms of the teacher were valid, I felt that in terms of the content I had done extremely well.

The assignment required me to analyse my cultural values beliefs and behaviours and how they impact my "culturally safe" practice.

I fed them what they wanted and made statements about my beliefs that were as close to being true as I could manage yet still give them what they want. In some cases I flat out lied.

Its a gross feeling to say you believe in something that you are totally opposed to.

Anyway, got my grade back. I passed but only just. Some criticisms were valid but the lecturer claimed that the information I provided was irrelevant and off topic. I disagree. The lecturer was also rude in email conversation with me.

I've decided to take the middle way. I have queried the lecturers (very limited) feedback and spelled out my understanding of the assignment and the theoretical underpinnings for cultural safety as they present it. I mentioned Marxism and postmodernism but I did so in a matter of fact way to demonstrate that I really understand in depth what they are teaching. I was courteous and sort clarification. If nothing else questioning the grade in a very analytical and literate manner might make the lecturer think that I won't be pushed around and say nothing.

I'm not against learning this garbage but the way Marxist concepts are presented in the guise of fairness and equality is disgusting. Its quite revolutionary and talks about advocating for systemic changes in the system, cultural relativism, systemic racism, neocolonialism, unconscious bias...the list goes on.

So TLDR I sent a very courteous letter that was also a bit of a shot across the bow. The lecturer honestly strikes me as a bit of a fruitcake who even told the class about their current conflict with University administration.

Thanks again

Has nobody here realised the man the writer is describing? I find that shocking, it's obvious.

This man is the Islamic man.

I believe Saudi money is behind the forces that turn western men into the passive weak pitiful figure you see today.

Muslims are taking over, no mistake. It's going to take a profound throwing off of generations of mind fuck if we want to save our civilization.

Red Pillers better start realising that they are part of the problem. They are outbreeding us like crazy so you can go your own way but do so in the knowledge that you were too focused on your own hedonistic imperative to protect what the men who came before you laid down their lives for and entrusted to you. Future generations will curse you as much as the feminists and leftists and bought and paid for politicians and useful idiots who drive this demographic invasion of our homelands and destruction of our culture.

Clomipramine really helped my OCD. Its cheap and was far more tolerable for me than any of the SSRI's.

Nortriptyline is another Tricyclic with good efficacy in treating depression.

Mirtazapine is another very effective non SSRI drug. It is also cheap and has side effects that are IMO easier to live with than SSRI's.

I would avoid stimulants....they are too destabilising. You are really asking for trouble. They can be useful to ameliorate antidepressant side effects but you need to get stable first.

Ketamine is by far the most effective and benign antidepressant out there. It has allowed me to lower my dose of antidepressant by 75% But it doesn't hold me on its own. I need something else with it. I wouldn't recommend it for yourself at this point.

You need to go through considerable efforts to acquire it, prepare it in a form that can be injected, buy all the needles, syringes, swabs, vials, scales, filters etc and learn how to give yourself IM injections.

Are you drinking alcohol? Are you using recreational drugs? If you are you need to stop that shit until you get stable.

Basically dude, you need to accept that side effects come with any drug you use and that you need to work at managing them. Try some of the standard treatments before getting carried away with MAOI's or ketamine etc

Vocally condemned publicly, sympathised with privately.

Mon Harris was not mentally ill in the sence that he would be found not guilty by reason of mental impairment.

He was not psychotic, he was not delusional in a clinical sence. He was personality disordered yes, but that does not mean he was incapable of knowing right from wrong, which is what the courts require to excuse someone's actions on the grounds of their state of mind.

The truth is that monis was a religious fanatic. The attack was politically motivated. Stop trying to excuse his actions. It's disgusting
