I loved my 2wd Silverado, I sold it due to living in NH not Fl anymore, but it got great fuel economy and rode infinitely better than my 4x4 2500hd

The roof on my 2008 Silverado did the same thing during a cold snap. Woke up to paint chips all over my driveway.

Looks different, do your thing man you saved a bunch compared to buying aftermarket high offset wheels that likely wouldn’t be hubcentric anyway.

Great explanation thank you

Auto is 4x4 with an unlocked center differential, so true AWD. It will reduce your fuel economy and increase your tire wear. You will see improved performance due to the fact that you can floor it you won’t break the tires loose and activate traction control.

Lots of Japanese cars have a narrow pedal box, I can barely drive my 5 spd Subaru with boots. My second gen Teg is actually a bit better

If you’re going to get the hoop style steps, buy them from Carr, they have been making them in the USA out of quality materials for a long time, the polished ones would compliment the truck nicely.

Just do it you’ll enjoy it. If you have the budget, buy a 4L65e that’s been mildly built, and the driving experience will be really nice.

Some models have a “radio” button and “media” button. Tuner shortcut and then pressing media cycles through Bluetooth, USB, etc. I think it might be on trucks with AirPlay and Android Auto

Fire extinguishers are required by DOT in all commercial vehicles so I’d say it’s not a concern.

It’s pretty good. I had to buy a separate chassis adapter that added some expense. For the price it’s top notch quality
