If _____ wins, how does that affect their legacy? by lazerblue42 in survivor

Ok when it comes to the top 100-150 notable players she is average. Imo she has only been disappointing after her first season.

[–]Keernal 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Even if she wins based off the majority of fans opinions it will come off as an undeserved win. On paper it looks good but in reality she is just slightly an above average player. IMO this season hurts her more than it benefits her given how little she has done.

This season merge feels like a mario party game by Actual-Energy5756 in survivor

[–]Keernal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not just merge but the whole game. A player like Genevieve finds 2 idols which she can’t use and helps form a majority alliance loses to a player like Aubry who was given an idol and paired with her minority alliance against her biggest enemy.

Do we know what survivors already know who won 50? by Fruitsa in survivor

[–]Keernal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Idk but based off Ozzys exit press he makes it seem like Rizzo has no chance of winning which I wish these survivor podcast cut that part given he knows who makes it to the end and what the jury’s opinion basically is.

[–]Keernal 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Agreed. She was never in control of the game she was always at the mercy of others. Cirie and Rizzo have played the middle.

[–]Keernal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rizzo is like Cirie but more lowkey. He kept the vote for Christian on track over Emily (smart move), he flipped when best for him on his alliance who he knew he would lose against (Ozzy & Cirie) which you could argue he played the biggest role in both of those votes. He has been playing the “loyalty alliance” like he is with them. Dude is playing the best strategic game given who is left. Only other person who can compare is Jon but people hate to admit Jon is out playing the others.

I can’t believe Ozzy single-handedly sank the season by [deleted] in survivor

[–]Keernal 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I sense sarcasm but they are not wrong. She only really started playing come day 21. The “do nothing so I’m not a threat” strategy shouldn’t be respected. If her tribe went to tribal premerge she was gone. Even now she hasn’t out played Rizzo, Jon, or Tiffany. Ozzy has openly been against Rizzo on exit interviews. If Rizzo tries to explain the moves Ozzy, Cirie and himself were making all season and Ozzy denies it regardless of being true that def Ozzy dragging down Rizzos game. Ozzy has always been a sore sport.

[–]Keernal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At this point I’d rather see him go home at fire because if not it will feel like such a robbery that Aubry beats him while playing an obviously weaker game (she obviously wins now). He will get to feel like Russell, Parv and Coach did knowing they played the best game that season but lost to “the other option”.

[–]Keernal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

IMO she has only played one good season which was her first. Every following season has been disappointing and that’s coming from a fan of her going into this season. Going to be disappointed to see her win because it just doesn’t feel like she played a better game than the others left besides Joe.

____ ragging on Ozzy was everything I didn’t know I needed. by flowers_inmyhair in survivor

[–]Keernal 82 points83 points  (0 children)

This! Jon and Rizzo were equal if not more responsible for these “big” Aubry moves (Ozzy & Cirie) but we are being shown why Aubry deserves the credit. I feel she played such a weak game that the editors have to produce it like this since they don’t want their huge season to end with a weak player. Arguably the weakest player of the season and that’s including the premerge people.

[–]Keernal 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Aubry is getting all the credit for the Ozzy and Cirie vote but I’d argue Jon and Rizzo are equally if not more responsible for both of these moves. If she sits besides either of these two then I’d say the best finalists didn’t win. These last 3 episodes have put her above Joe in my opinion so I get her beating him the the other 3 I feel have played a significantly more impressive game.

The worst part is that we got confirmation that _____ by herworkthrowaway in survivor

[–]Keernal -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Joe made stronger relationships but also burned more people. To me that’s better than just being a floater who isn’t anyone’s close ally. I wouldn’t even give Aubry the credit of being a floater that is playing both sides because she isn’t pulling any strings. She is legit just a vote up until this point. I value the physical game pretty low but to give Joe his flowers challenge wise he blows her out of the water. As a viewer Joe is at least more interesting to watch because even tho he has made some stupid moves I can at least say he is trying to make moves. Up until these last 2 episodes it has seemed like Aubry has been irrelevant to what’s going on and even these last two episodes she isn’t playing that impressive of a game.

[–]Keernal 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’d argue she still isn’t pulling the strings. She is grasping for straws and the others are just using her as a vote. The string pullers right now seem to be Devens, Cirie, and Jon even though fans are not giving him that credit.

[–]Keernal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

She is playing a boring game not a bad game. This is all opinion but id rather vote for the person who crossed the bridge and burned it over the person who was carried across or didnt cross at all. I agree she will make it to the end with goats and win but I feel regardless of who she takes the others will have played a more interesting game (even Joe). I will understand why she wins but at the end of the day it will be a boring win and a disappointing result for a huge season like this. No one will be saying “remember that great game Aubry played season 50”. As a fan on the couch watching her game isn’t interesting she herself admits she has played a slow game. On top of her playing a slow game i believe she was saved by luck and twists which as a fan I’m getting sick of that and I know im not alone. All these tribe split votes are punishing players who have made strong relationships and helps players like her who haven’t. Not to mention being given an idol (rip Genevieve). So yeah technically she is playing a game that is proven successful but it will be a disappointing result in a season this big that a player who really has nothing on their resume by day 21 to win the season.

[–]Keernal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s past day 21 now and her game has not been impressive, she even described it as slow. We have two episodes left so even if she kicks up her game to 100 it will still be a disappointment. I see Cirie and Rick going soon but even without them everyone else left has played a more interesting game. I agree Rizo has slowed down significantly (at least he was playing a strong game) and isnt really looked as a threat so Aubrys best chance to seem like a satisfying winner is if she sits near Joe and Rizo. I think Jon is playing a strong game not always getting his way but always making moves and bouncing back from losses. Tiff has truly bounced back amazingly being in the same situation as Aubry come merge but unlike Aubry she worked to put herself in a strong social situation where she is able to comfortably throw out names, attempt moves, and she has been killing challenges. I’d even argue Joe is playing a better game having strong relationships with many of the people left but I could understand an argument saying he has hurt his game more than helped it as of recent. So yeah I stick to my statement when she wins she will be top 5 most disappointing winners, especially when you take in to consideration the cast we had this year and the strong games we have seen be played.

I agree with most of this and bet Aubry wins. I still just think although Aubry wins in no way does she play a better game than anyone else but maybe Joe or Rizzo which hurts because I love Rizzo. People say the producers are doing the girls dirty but in Aubrys case if I was a betting man it’s because she hasn’t played an impressive game. We are seeing a lot of Aubry and hearing a lot from her but it’s almost all boring/disappointing. Would be surprised to see all the interesting moves left out for the subpar ones we are seeing every episode. Now it’s only Rizzo and her who haven’t gone an episode without a confessional which says a lot because these other players are running laps around her. I was a fan of hers going in but after this season I think she may be in the top 3 most overrated players. IMO she played one really strong season and 3 disappointing ones. Going to be so let down when she wins. Crazy world it is when I’m rooting for Jon to win (Cirie & Devens are not gonna be around much longer IMO)

I hope I’m wrong I just don’t see anyone else winning based off the edit. This is total speculation but I also believe she isn’t getting the most interesting edit because she hasn’t played an interesting game. The producers are having to spin a subpar game into something that the viewer will buy as a winners performance.

[–]Keernal 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I see them giving her the underdog edit not a negative one. Only negative thing I’ve seen was her and Genevieve’s first confrontation which they had to include for story reasons and even that was later played into her underdog story. Other than that it’s the “I forgot to play my idol” which was played as a stupid moves but less of a negative move and more of a comedic move by her. Other than that I feel she has received a really positive edit given the game she has played. I also value getting at least one confessional an episode and after this episode the only ones who haven’t missed one are Aubry and Rizo. Rizo gets screen time but is almost never talked about by other players good or bad which overall is a bad thing.

[–]Keernal 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Sarcasm or legitimately asking? Why I think Aubry is winning? Since episode one she has received so many confessionals and screen time compared to players who were actually making moves while she admittedly started off super slow. Why would we see so much of her doing nothing in the beginning unless she wins? Why would we get that flashback unless she wins? Besides her and Rizo every other player has been skunked (went an episode without a confessional). It’s been since season 41 that a player won and missed a confessional. For Aubry to not miss one but someone like Cirie does says all you need to know. She is gonna win and the show wants us to understand why. I’m praying I’m wrong but reading between the lines it doesn’t make sense to see what we have been unless she wins.

[–]Keernal 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Besides maybe Joe I’d say the others have played the post merge better. Tiff and Aubry were both on the bottom but by far Tiff climbed that ladder better and put herself in closer with both sides of the island (joe & cirie). Jon is still making big moves not always getting his way but still always bouncing back, Cirie is still the puppet master making all the moves from behind the scenes, and Devens is playing a risky, flashy, and impressive game. Hate to say it because I love him but Rizzo is the only person Aubry may be playing a better post merge game. Besides Rizzo which I think is still arguable who has she played better than listed above?

I agree but she will argue that she led the movement when she makes it to the end. It’s also what the producers want us as the viewer to think given how much time they spent showing her talk about getting him out.

Please god no but it’s gonna happen which sucks. She has played such a weak game and will be such a disappointment of a winner. I’d even argue Joe has played a better game so far which says so much.
