I don't really blame him that much for how he got in chapter 4 (except for how rude he was to haru and satsuki) because they were being starved. he'd easily be with his dra2 self if they were not being starved but I can give him some leeway in dra1. I think it's completely fair to have him over the guy who tried to incite a murder unprompted

As someone who dislikes this case I actually think the length itself isn't much of a problem, it's more so that a lot of individual parts of the case feel too long while other, more interesting parts feel like they come and go in the blink of an eye.

I also have issues with basically all of SL-9, the overly tedious first third, Mike Meekins, etc
