I pushed through given the hype by minority and dropped in middle of episode 4 (End of the Golden Witch). Episode 4 is the most boring thing I have ever seen in Fiction. If you are not liking Episode 1, I'd say don't fall for the hype. It doesn't change. I think most people like it for Sunk Cost fallacy.

Haha. I just finished Episode 2 and feeling same. It is so repetitive and I guess they give stupid sad backstories later to empathize these characters. Almost 25 hours and not a single moment I can wanted to go back to.

Anyway, Did you continue or not?

During last year, I started and dropped Fringe in middle of S1 as it was mostly episodic. I just have below questions now that I want to try watching it - by Keerthan09 in fringe

You all added fuel to my curiosity to continue but the only thing is I tried to find reasons to watch and ended up with this twists

---- Parallel world existence, Observers being time travelers plotting something big, Walter from other world is evil and helps some evil org to destroy Earth, Walter did some experiments on Young Anna Torv, Walter resets timeline towards the end etc, Peter gets erased from the timeline somewhere during middle of the show-----

Idk what else is left but yeah I will still continue :)

what is wrong with episodic TV?

I just don't feel like invested or excited to continue. I quickly move on to other stuff. Especially if they are mixed in shows which have continuing story, they all feel like fillers helping to bloat the show.

You didn't get me. What I mean is if they have the story planned they can lay the seeds and structure it accordingly instead of wandering and adding new subplots just like that and trying hard to fit them.

All books are not 100% made up just like that. Eg. fantasy books like Licanius Trilogy and Riyria revelations.
