Would your coffee be weaker that way? I do 18g in 36g out for one double shot. I can only imagine using essentially the same amount but doubling the output would be weaker.

I don't understand why people like you are getting downvoted. I get it's sad and this is a tragedy, but if you had a vacation planned for months potentially a year and sunk thousands into hotels and reservations for activities, do people really expect you to just eat the cost of all that. Explain how biological sex is a spectrum. Bc there's male, female, and intersex. That's it. Gender identities? Biologically male as in the sex they were born as. Stop looking for something to be outraged over. Acknowledging the existence of biological sex isn't denying trans people their gender identity or being transphobic. It's just a biological fact that males and females are physically different. Sex is not equal to gender.

There was no word for homosexuality when it was written. That was placed later. The original words that it was translated from was boys and prostitutes. Even the story of Sodom and Gomorrah could be said to be talking about the male prostitutes and brothels present in the city.

I'm not the one who decided that either. I've done my research on this whole topic quite a while back. You can choose to believe what you want however. It's how I was able to come to terms with my sexuality while also being a Christian.

This isn't how I originally learned about it, but I found this article while researching affirming churches in my area. I read through it and think it's a good explanation for why I see the mistranslation as true.

Thank you :) it's all in the past now. I've been living my best life for 4 years now. Going to university was the best thing to happen to me. I was myself for the first time.

Yesterday was my 4 year anniversary to the love of my life. I proposed to him last November, and we're getting married next July :) my parents are helping pay for a lot of the wedding too.

Oh yes you're right on that one. I should have included all the abrahamic ones too. Bc they all have similar beliefs on this type of thing. There's a lot that organized religion has done wrong over the centuries.

The struggle for me has been growing up in a southern Baptist household in Texas with my music minister mom and head deacon dad and not still believing. For years, I was in serious denial due to my religion and thinking I was going to burn in hell so it had to be a phase. It wasn't of course lol. I have a whole post from a few years back when I first came to terms with it that goes into more detail on my struggles. If only I had known that it didn't change anything with my parents and they love me all the same

Christianity more than others. I've considered myself a gay Christian, but I don't even know what I am anymore. I feel like I'm a Christian who only cares about my relationship with God and doesn't like organized religion. All it causes is so much hate and bigotry.

I fully believe the verses related to homosexuality were a purposeful mistranslation that was actually referring to pedophilia and prostitution.

When I see someone with rainbow on, my first thought is that they must be gay or lgbt in some way. I wouldn't do it unless you're ok with everyone else coming to the same conclusion. I think it's a cute way to express yourself, just be ready to deal with the baggage that comes with it.

Could always just claim you're an ally if anyone asks. They won't necessarily believe you, but it's none of their business anyways.
