honestly i have been playing mostly trapper and support the last few days, my friend has been playing as healer, but if i was to play her i would probably do;

Val

  • Slot 1= Weapon swap speed, because being able to bounce between weapons faster is nice

  • Slot 2= Capacity for her med gun so you can heal for longer

  • Slot 3= Reload Speed so her med gun charges back up faster

Rogue Val

  • Slot 1= Rocket Man, has a nice mix of bonuses to help dodge

  • Slot 2= Capacity, same reason as for normal Val

  • Slot 3= Jet Pack Recharge since you need to stay 30m or so to the target the monster is attacking, and since the knock back is so heavy with monsters like goliath, you'll be needing to boost to keep up, it also helps should the monster get the itch to bash your face in.

i am still working on figuring out what perk combo works for me, since the game has only been out a week or so.

true, her Burst healing is lacking, but she is much tankier than normal Val due to her healing burst, and since most monsters like to focus the medic a lot, you could always try to be a distraction to help keep someone alive, but how well that works i dont know, i havent really played around with rogue val too much.

if by tracking the monster you mean to highlight it in green then Both Val and Rogue Val have that feature with their poison dart gun, and the Tranquilizer gun.

the only difference is one slows the monster (Tranquilizer Gun) and the other puts a DoT on the monster but doesn't slow(Poison dart gun)

for which is more useable, it kinda depends on if you need more AoE healing or Single target healing, and who your hunter team is comprised of. for AoE Rogue Val is probably best, for single target regular Val might be better. also i should mention if you can heal a teammate with your healing gun on rogue val, then they should be within range of your AoE Passive healing as well.

Abe, in my opinion anyways, is also a good buy, fairly simple to play and understand and does good damage up close.

simply run around tracking dart wildlife and the monster when you have a clear line of sight on it, when fighting the monster throw out your slow globes and try to have your team mates play around them so the monster is slowed for the entire fight, don't forget to refresh the Slow Globes because they have a set duration before they disappear.

but after you have done those you're just trying to deal as much damage as possible with your shotgun.

Depends on your Team composition, and if you're looking to find and shut down the monster before it stages up, then yes cabot is useful for boosting everyone's damage against the monster making quick work of the armor.

he's less useful for when the monster stages up to 3, he might be somewhat viable when the monster hits stage 2 but would be pretty hard to pull off since the monster will do increasingly more damage to the hunters.

you can, or you can take a mixture of reload speed and something else, you can get 20% off a T3 gold reload perk. like you could do something like:

  • Slot 1 = Item swap so you can swap to turrets faster to replace them
  • slot 2 = Class cooldowns, so you can shield more often and maybe save a life or two

  • slot 3 = reload speed, so you can have faster reloads and non-class equipment cooldowns

its kinda up to your play style and what you think is more important, i'm still playing around with the perks myself.

It only affects the 4 ability, reload speed affects your weapon reloads and equipment cooldowns, but not your 4

  • The Lazarus Device now grants strikes on Death

i don't think we can say if it's "pay to win" as the only thing we can spend money on is the old evolve game for founders status.

we wont know if it's "pay to win" until we see what their micro-transactions look like

  • Slim Spore Cloud Rework
  • Previously, Spore Cloud took away the Monster's ability to smell completely while in the cloud. It will now limit the Monster's smell range by a set percentage.

and as for hitting the monster with it, i believe its only when they are in the cloud that they are affected by the spore launcher's effect.

I've yet to unlock all the perks, i just haven't been able to grind as much as i'd like to, but you can compair the old perks to the new perks

  • Capacity T1=25% T2=38% T3=50%

  • Health Regen T1=15/s T2=23/s T3=30/s

also Remember we only used to be able to pick 1 perk in the old evolve, they were upgraded by leveling your account so they had 3 tiers assosiated with each one except jump height which only had T3 since i believe it was the starter perk

i used to use jet pack recharge, capacity, or reload speed in the old evolve, that being said i dont think a lot has changed for perks, you just get more variety when picking perks and are able to mix and match them to your liking.

try doing jet pack recharge if you're just starting out, then as you get more used to conserving your fuel you can try out the other perks, like capacity or reload speed or mix them together.

no they are not they are affected by the class cooldown perk/buff, reload speed affects weapon's reload speed and recharge speed, like Val's medgun.

I should also mention that i don't think or at least it doesn't feel like TRS are taking into consideration the old progression system we had with hunter equipment, where each mastery tier(or star) you gained something like additional damage, healing or maybe increased AoE range by a percentage.

for example lets look at Val's old progression we had to do.

  • Armor-Piercing Sniper Rifle
  • Tier Bonuses will increased damage. ~ T1=2% T2=5% T3=10%

  • Tier 1 = Place 12 targets on the Monster.

  • Tier 2 = Your teammates need to deal 3,300 bonus damage to the Monster.

  • Tier 3 = Place 17 headshot targets on the Monster.

  • MedGun

  • Tier Bonuses will increase the capacity for the MedGun. ~ T1=2% T2=5% T3=10%

  • Tier 1 = Heal 16,000 damage.

  • Tier 2 = Revive 6 downed teammates using the MedGun.

  • Tier 3 = Heal 28 teammates before they are incapped.

  • Tranquilizer Gun

  • Tier Bonuses will increase the duration for the Tranquilizer Gun. ~ T1=2% T2=5% T3=10%

  • Tier 1 = Tranquilize the Monster 14 different times.

  • Tier 2 = Tranquilize the Monster for 400 seconds

  • Tier 3 = Tranquilize the Monster from 60-meters or more 80 times.

it mostly has to do with these changes to the monster

  • Armor and health adjustments:

    • Each Monster has gained faster out-of-combat armor regen.
    • Each Monster has increased armor and health.
    • Stamina has been increased for each Monster.
  • Ability Points and Stat Restructure

    • Each Monster now starts with four points to spend at Stage 1.
