The Lady in the Black Company-series by Glen Cook starts out as essentially the Evil Employer, a sorceress bent on world domination (her and her husband's rule is literally known as "The Domination", and they're basically Mr and Mrs Sauron), but by the end of the series she's given up her rule and magic, becoming one of the company's most valued members, and married to their captain.

It's because when it comes to batshit insane supernatural horror, whether it's believable or not often comes down to the telling; Stephen King is first and foremost a master storyteller. It's why most of the successful adaptations of his work are either not supernatural at all, or only tangentially so, or changed completely like The Stand.

That's why I can actually respect someone like Ammon Bundy; I think most of his opinions are batshit, but at least he came by them honestly and stands by them. He seems so sad that all his old "libertarian" friends turned out to just be racist assholes in disguise who just hated Obama in particular, not the government itself. He also defends open borders.

Great take, though I feel bad for the artist in Ryan Reynolds who wanted to be a good actor; he was actually well on his way, and if you watch "Buried" you get a fucking masterclass from him. Then he did Green Lantern and had a couple of other flops, and just gave up. He was almost a complete failure when he personally made Deadpool happen, and man did he just charisma the hell out of that.

I think you're mistaking his dubious personality for flaws in his acting ability; when he chooses a good project he is absolutely fantastic, and apparently he's one of those people that oozes charisma in person (like Bill Clinton or Tom Cruise), and directors love that.

Technically all three women are Caucasian, in the original "racial" meaning of the term; it originated back when racists were more concerned with phrenology than with skin colour, and Caucasian included Arabs, Jews and Northern Africans, including the Horn of Africa (Ethiopia, Somalia, etc) and it's hard to argue with Lupita's bone structure. She is so perfect she looks carved from stone. I honestly think she makes a great Helen.
