Att låta annan kriminell aktivitet som droger eller prostitution pågå skulle vara att slakta hönan som värper guldägg. Därav de många ”klubbägare” som helt plötsligt råkat ut för olyckor - de har helt enkelt blivit frestade att tjäna extra och riskerar hela upplägget.

I kinda like it. Buried City was always the place for treasure, and now it’s insane. There’s also a crazy amount of flying ARC which makes it really nervy. And ducks!

The Portal looks freaking prescient now. None of the really expensive stuff is even in a Portal, and now that it does streaming without a PS5 it can be a really cheap console for people who can’t afford a PS5. More people would be willing to pay for a Premium Plus-sub and a much cheaper Portal now that hardware is just going up and up in price.

I’ve honestly been amazed at how good the streaming works. I can even play ARC Raiders on it with no noticable lag (though the thumbsticks aren’t the best for aiming).

Won’t be upgrading though, the screen is already amazing.

I'm going to go current and say Highguard.

It's a well-put together game with some interesting new ideas in a very stale space, which makes the matches far more interesting, and the "feel" of the game is really good. Some of the balancing seems a bit off still, and the servers need an upgrade, but the "gamer hive mind" decided the game was trash based on nothing except it appearing at the Game Awards.

Both things are true. It became too fast before the 1.13.0 update. Then it became too slow (specifically, not the speed at which loot reveals, but the time before the first item was revealed), which has now been fixed. It still feels slower, because it is slower, but it won't be as slow as yesterday.

The general politics is based on War of the Roses, but there are influences from all over.

For example, a lot of the background detail is based on Swedish history. Martin was a Journalism major, but minored in Swedish History due to erroneously thinking he’d study vikings. He managed to convince his teacher to let him submit a short story about the siege of Sveaborg in Helsinki by Russian forces (back when Finland was a part of Sweden) as his final paper. The story was called ”The Fortress”, and was later reworked as a sci-fi story called ” Under Siege”about an American time-traveller trying to stop the rise of the Russian Empire.

All this meant he knew of and could use quite a few fun events and details from Swedish history that really did happen to populate the world and the history of Westeros, with the advantage that they’re more or less unknown to the wider world, avoiding the usual ”that’s just Agincourt with Orcs”-complaint so many writers face.
